The Walt Disney Company extended their Armed Forces Salute For 2012, Will They Renew it Again for 2013?
I just wrote a great article on this topic on the MDT Blog. It reviews the history of Disney's Armed Forces Salute and gives my thoughts on when we'll know: Is Disney going to renew the Armed Forces Salute for 2013?
Will Disney continue to extent their Military Discounted Ticket and Resort Room Offer?
Military Disney Tips has been the first to publish the previous two announcements of the Armed Forces Salute continuations, in April 2011 and October 2010. We have contacts in the Disney Company both official and unofficial as well as other friends in the Disney related industry. These contacts allow us to keep out fingertip on the pulse of the company in regards to military discounts.

Armed Forces Salute History
The Walt Disney Company has offered an Armed Forces Salute since the economic downturn in 2009 caused their resort room reservations and ticket sales to fall. These fantastic Military Discounts have been on both theme park tickets and resort rooms, and have allowed many military families to have a great vacation once the military member returns from a long deployment.
Each subsequent year after 2009 it's been hard to determine if there would be an offer for the next year. Disney announced the 2010 offer at the very end of December 2009 just prior to the end of the '09 offer. The 2010 offer originally only ran through 31 July 2010, and was later extended to 30 September.
In September 2010 Disney was continuing their repeated assertions that there would be no continuation of these military salute offers for the rest of 2010 or for 2011, and then on 4 October without any warning Disney announced a new room only discount, and there were lots of rumors and insider tips that a ticket discount was coming too. Then on 24 October Disney announced their ticket offer.
Universal Orlando has discontinued their military salute. But there was enough inertia behind Disney's offers to keep them going. Anheuser-Busch has offered their Here's to the Heroes Salute every year since 2005.
