Disney Discounts
The Walt Disney Company has renewed their Armed Forces Salute for 2010. It's the very best deal going for military members and their families. This year the offer for military members is up to six 4-day tickets for $99 plus tax each. The 99 dollar ticket is a "Base" ticket good for admission to a single theme park on each of the four days. These tickets do not include either the Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More options, but they can be upgraded to add either option, or both, for an additional $25, plus tax, per option. Tax is only aplicable if you purchase at Disney theme park ticket windows, there is no tax at Shades of Green or your base's Ticket/Travel Office. You must purchase your tickets by 31 August 2010. Disney's Military Salute Comes To An End
Without a doubt the best discount the military normaly has when visiting Disney World in Orlando is the Shades of Green Resort! It is one of the Armed Forces Recreation Centers operated worldwide for the benefit of military members. Shades of Green has quite a few room discount packages, combine these with Disneys Armed Forces Salute to really save on your vacation.
You can purchase military discounted Disney theme park tickets through Shades of Green once you arrive at WDW or you can buy them ahead of time at your local base Ticket/Travel Office.
Another great way to save on your stay is through the Armed Forces Vacation Club. If you don't mind staying off Disney property you can stay at a local area condo for a super rate.
If you buy them ahead of time you can spread out your cost. Admission tickets to Disney remain valid until used. This is especially good if ticket prices go up after you purchase your tickets (you won't have to make up the difference). You can buy tickets way in advance and they are always good. We once bought multiday tickets with the no expiration option and used them for three years!
