When is the best time to visit Disney World in 2014 or 2015 for you and your military family?
Disney's current Armed Forces Salute runs through 27 September 2014.
You'll need to decide when would be the best time to use your Disney military discount at Disney's Orlando Florida theme park - Walt Disney World.
The great thing about the Internet is the variety of sites available on any given topic. Here at Military Disney Tips I spend my time monitoring all the ins and outs of Disney military discounts and other Orlando area military savings.
I spend lots of time answering reader questions via email, on facebook, and my blog. That makes for a very busy part time job for me, so I often recommend other great sites that focus on other aspects of the Disney Universe.
When I'm deciding what dates would be good for my family vacation at Disney World there is one site that I head straight to in order to decide. That site is YourFirstVisit.net!
As the name implies Your First Visit is a site geared towards first time Walt Disney World visitors, but the information on the site is so detailed and so well researched that even seasoned WDW travelers like me will find new info.
Dave at YFV is one of those guys with a 10-pound brain, you'll find a plethora of charts and graphs backed by detailed data and analysis. Some of the best products on the site are his Date Planning pages! These are what I use to determine the best dates for me to go to WDW.

Special Military Considerations
Just be aware that these products do not take into consideration the ticket and room blockout dates for the Disney Armed Forces Salute.
Also experience has shown that is is best for military vacationers to avoid the week or two surrounding the 30 Sept - 1 Oct fiscal year end time-frame.
This is due to the changeover between Disney's Armed Forces Salute offers. The uncertainty as to whether there will be a new offer and issues caused by the inability to use one offer's tickets in a different offer.
Plus our increasingly unstable government has shown it is prone to shutdowns at the FY end.
