Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event held each winter on select nights at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park.

Your Disney Armed Forces Salute ticket will not get you into Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the purchase of an additional event admission ticket is required to attend.

Celebrate the magic of the season in the holiday wonderland of Magic Kingdom theme park. Gather with loved ones for a festive sight and sound filled special event that is sure to make you merry! This festive celebration is filled with live entertainment, spectacular fireworks and an oh-so-jolly holiday parade.

The event is held on select nights in November and December 2013.

Active and Retired U.S. Military, including members of the U.S. Coast Guard and active members of the National Guard or Reservists, may purchase discounted Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets for special military priced event nights. They may also purchase additional tickets for up to five (5) family members and/or friends.

These special tickets must be purchased in person (with proper military ID) at Walt Disney World. They can not be pre-purchased over the phone (like the full price tickets) or from military resellers. So you can’t get these at Shades of Green and your base ticket office!

LEGOLAND Military Appreciation Days 2013

Discounts-for-Military-at-LEGOLAND-FloridaLEGOLAND Florida has announced a new special offer for current military members for the remainder of 2013.

The Military Appreciation Days offer is one free admission ticket for the military member.

For others in the military member’s party LEGOLAND Florida still offers the 50% off tickets (ahead of time through base ticket offices) and 10% off at the gate.

LEGOLAND makes this offer in appreciation for their continued service, all active duty military personnel including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reservists are now entitled to a free one-time single day admission to LEGOLAND Florida throughout 2013 and seasonally at the LEGOLAND Water Park.

Active duty military personnel must present their military ID at LEGOLAND Florida’s ticket window on the day they plan to visit to redeem their free admission ticket.

Westgate Resorts Offers 1,500 Free Vacations For Military Members

Starting tomorrow morning, Westgate Resorts will give away 1,500 Free Three Day, Two Night Vacations to U.S. Military Personnel.

The first 1,500 military personnel to call in beginning at 9 a.m. EDT on Friday, November 9, 2012, will receive the complimentary resort stay.

UPDATE: I’ve received word that all of the 1500 vacations have been reserved.

Last year they had 1000 that were gone by 5 pm, this year’s 1500 were done by 2pm. Well I did tell 6500 of my closest friends this year…

Through this special, limited-time Military Appreciation Offer, U.S. soldiers (and their families) who have served in The War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation Enduring Freedom can book a complimentary weekday stay at one of Westgate’s full-service resorts. This offer is for active and retired members, military ID must be presented upon check-in. You must travel by November 26, 2013

A total of 1,000 complimentary vacations will be available at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, Westgate Vacation Villas, Westgate Towers and Westgate Town Center, and 500 complimentary vacations will be available at Westgate River Ranch, an authentic Florida dude ranch.

VETERANS DAY DISCOUNTS 2012

Here is a list of military discounts that I’ve found from various companies.

COMPANIES PROVIDING FREE MEALS ON VETERANS DAY

OLIVE GARDEN

Veterans Eat Free. Olive Garden Restaurants offer a free meal (with proof of service) from a list of several entrees on a special menu. This special is scheduled for Monday, November 12, 2012. Additionally, some Olive Garden restaurants will also give out a $10 gift card to veterans for a future visit.

OUTBACK

Outback Celebrates Veterans & Active Duty Service Members With a Special Offer on Veterans Day and a 10% Discount Through the End of the Year.

APPLEBEE’S

Military Veterans and Active-Duty Service Members will be able to eat FREE at any Applebee’s across the U.S. on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2012. There will be six entrées available from the menu. Guests will be asked to show one ore more of the following as proof of Service: a U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, a U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a photograph in uniform, or wearing a uniform in person.
