    • No sorry it is not. DLR has never offered a military discount on their Halloween Party.

  1. We recently decided, with the help of a defense finance advisor, that we should take the Disney trip we saved over two years for and cancel our trip and simply move to Florida. It fulfilled a life long dream of living closer to Disney, and be near VA facilities and bases as I’m medically retired from the Navy. The question I have been getting mixed answers to is that we now have 2 five day Disney Salute tickets. Ten days of awesomeness already paid. But, we live two hours from WDW and I’ve been told that each 5 day when turned in we will only have 5 consecutive days to use them. Another agent said that we can spread those days out throughout this 2017 season. Would be nice to have a heads up for planning which is true. Moving to Jacksonville, Fl. July 1st. Two hours from WDW!! Thank you in advance for any advise.

    • Hi there Danny,

First the Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets do not expire for the life of the offer. This year’s tickets are valid through 19 December 2017. You do not have to use them on consecutive days!

Now on to the good news, becoming a FL Resident and how to proceed. You mentioned “we” so I assume you and a spouse. You also said you had 2 each 5-day Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets. Is that 1 ticket for each of you, or 2 tickets for each of you? I ask because the FL Resident Silver Pass costs about twice what a Disney Armed Forces Salute ticket does. If you have one ticket for the both of you, use them this summer when the FL Pass is blocked out, then on the day you use your last day of admission, upgrade the Salute tickets to FL Silvers (for about the price of a second Salute ticket). You’ll then have a year of admission vs 5 more days, excluding Christmas week, a week or two of Spring Break and most of next summer (when you can start the process over).

I had the FL Silver for years when I lived in FL.

If you actually have 2 tickets each, see if you can use the value of the second towards the passes.

  2. My husband and I will be purchasing MNSSHP tickets with the military discount on Sept. 7. Do you know if we can purchase 2 tickets for our daughter and her friend to attend the Sept. 17th party using the military discount and they can attend without us there?
My daughter doesn’t have military ID. Thanks, in advance, for taking the time to answer this question.

    • Hi Beth,

There is no ID check at the tapstile and you can buy for any date ahead, but that really isn’t the intent of the discount. 🙂

  3. I have a question. We have 7 people total in my immediate military family. Are these ticket restrictions the same as with the Military Salute tickets? You can normally only buy six unless you have more than six people in your immediate military family. We can normally purchase 7 Military Salute tickets, will we be able to purchase 7 NSSHP Tickets at the Military Rate?
