Here’s a info-graphic I made which shows who is and isn’t eligible for the various military discounts available at the major Theme Parks.
I’m a real visual person so I know sometimes it helps to see an image or chart instead of reading about something.
I’ve included all the current discounts: the “Regular” Military Discounted Tickets for Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, the Disney Armed Forces Salute, Anheuser-Busch’s Here’s to the Heroes, Universal’s Military room and ticket package, as well as Shades of Green.
Please Note… This chart shows basic eligibility only! You’ll need to refer to the links below for full rules and details!
Here are links for the discounts mentioned on the info-graphic:
- Disney’s Armed Forces Salute
- Anheuser-Busch Here’s to the Heroes
- Universal Military Packages
- Shades of Green
- Non-Retired Military
- Non-US Military
- Shades of Green Ticket Prices

Steve, this site is a world of info and I am glad you have it. I have a question. My husband is active duty and we are planning to go to Disney in October for the food and wine festival. Do you have any idea if the military promotion will be extended. We’ve never been at this time of year and would love to go. But, for the last several years we’ve been fortunate enough to go on the military promo. it allows us to splurge a little on our vacation.
Thanks Again,
Lisa
Thanks so much Lisa!
I enjoy working on the site and helping all my brethren with these sometimes confusing discounts.
We too are planning a late Oct – early Nov trip to WDW. It’s our favorite time of year there. The summer heat is finally gone as are the big crowds.
I recently did a post on just this subject When to expect Disney’s Armed Forces Salute Renewal for dates after 30 September 2012.
I since have emailed with my contact at Disney’s Military Sales Dept. (the dept. which offers and negotiates these deals with the DoD) and while there is no official news yet he says they are pushing for a new offer.
If I had to bet on when it will be announced I’d say closer to the expiration date of this offer rather than sooner.
Thanks for the help Steve. I know as soon as you know something you will let us know. In the mean time I will have to hold off on making ressies. Also, can you tell me how the crowds are this time of year?
Steve, what a wonderfully helpful chart! I just “pinned” it, and will post about it next week! Great work…
Thanks Dave,
That’s high praise from the King of Charts! I have pinned some of yours too.
