Westgate Resorts Offers 1,500 Free Vacations For Military Members

Starting tomorrow morning, Westgate Resorts will give away 1,500 Free Three Day, Two Night Vacations to U.S. Military Personnel.

The first 1,500 military personnel to call in beginning at 9 a.m. EDT on Friday, November 9, 2012, will receive the complimentary resort stay.

UPDATE: I’ve received word that all of the 1500 vacations have been reserved.

Last year they had 1000 that were gone by 5 pm, this year’s 1500 were done by 2pm. Well I did tell 6500 of my closest friends this year…

Through this special, limited-time Military Appreciation Offer, U.S. soldiers (and their families) who have served in The War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation Enduring Freedom can book a complimentary weekday stay at one of Westgate’s full-service resorts. This offer is for active and retired members, military ID must be presented upon check-in. You must travel by November 26, 2013

A total of 1,000 complimentary vacations will be available at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, Westgate Vacation Villas, Westgate Towers and Westgate Town Center, and 500 complimentary vacations will be available at Westgate River Ranch, an authentic Florida dude ranch.

These resorts are minutes away from Orlando’s theme parks, such as Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, and Legoland Florida. Combined with these theme park’s special offer military member can plan very low cost vacations.

This is the second year in a row that Westgate Resorts has mede this generous offer. Last year only 1000 rooms were offered.

Westgate Resorts founder and CEO David A. Siegel said:

Being a veteran myself, I am extremely proud of the young men and women who continue our great American tradition of service. Westgate is incredibly proud of our national heroes and we look forward to showing our gratitude for their service at our five-star resort destinations.

To take advantage of this exclusive Military Appreciation Offer from Westgate Resorts, simply call 1-407-355-2668 on November 9 at 9 a.m. EDT and enjoy an unforgettable vacation getaway courtesy of Westgate Resorts.

Westgate expects these 1500 free rooms to fill up within 2 or 3 days so act quickly!

While this is a nice gesture, I highly doubt many active duty will be able to participate. Retired? Sure. Active duty. No way. How are we able to travel on such short notice, during the week?! This is not worth sharing via social media to any of our Army friends. My husband can’t get off that quickly and his soldiers cannot either.

I called at 0900 at received this following message.. “You are calling from an unmonitored number.”

I called the 188 number ando also the 800 218 4363. Both said they were unmonitored lines and to go to the website, but there is no place to send a message. How do we sign up for this?

I have been trying to call the number listed, but it keeps saying it is an unmonitored number. Then I tried calling the customer service number, and it says it is an unmonitored number. Just curious if you have heard this as well. I am just hoping it is a glitch that will go away soon. Thanks for your blog and all the great tips!

Hi Steve, I’ve been trying to call all morning and it keeps saying it’s a non monitored number and says to visit website. Their website says it can only be booked by phone??

  8. Jacqueline says

I am on the phone with them now. My husband and I got married in Disney World on the 20th of October. We’re booking our trip so we can spend our 1st anniversary there. :)

  9. Mariah says

Thanks so much for posting this!!! I was able to book our stay! It did take a bit of calling, and calling back, and waiting on hold, but so worth it for a free stay!!!

  10. Kristy Hawkins says

I was able to book our stay this morning for next year. I have sense been looking at reviews for the spa resort in Orlando and it has gotten some really bad reviews. It is a timeshare resort and apparrntly uses high pressure sales tactics. I’m wondering if we will be subjected to the same issues. Has anyone actually stayed there before?
