2012 Military Discount Prices On Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Copyright DisneyMickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event held each winter on select nights at Magic Kingdom theme park. Purchase of an additional event admission ticket is required to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This festive celebration is filled with live entertainment, spectacular fireworks and an oh-so-jolly holiday parade.

Celebrate the magic of the season in the holiday wonderland of Magic Kingdom theme park. Gather with loved ones for a festive sight and sound filled special event that is sure to make you merry!

The event is held on select nights November – December 2012.

Military Discounted Prices are offered on the following nights:

November: 9, 12, 15, 25, 27, & 29

Time: 7 PM to Midnight

Military Discount Prices are: Adult – $41.27 plus tax & Child (3-9) $37.77 plus tax. Advance Purchase (must be purchased prior to midnight the day prior)

These tickets can only be purchased at the Walt Disney World ticket windows with your military ID.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party features:

  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: 8:15 and 10:30 pm
  • Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season Fireworks: 9:30 pm
  • Celebrate the Season Show: 7:45, 10:05, 11:20 pm
  • Castle Dream Lights - See the castle transformed into a beautiful display of holiday lights right before your eyes!
  • Live stage shows with Disney characters
  • See it “snow” on Main Street!
  • Enjoy Christmas cookies and hot cocoa
  • Some of the most popular attractions will remain open during the party!
  • Meet some of your favorite characters throughout the park
    • Duffy the Disney Bear will be on a float during the parade, as well as greeting guests in Town Square
    • Phineas and Ferb – Tomorrowland
    • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – Frontierland

Norad Tracks Santa

Here’s a fun website for you and the kids. NORAD’s Santa tracker website is already online and ready for use 24 December 2011. This is a service NORAD has provided for more than 50 years.

“The tradition began in 1955 after a Colorado Springs-based Sears Roebuck & Co. advertisement for children to call Santa misprinted the telephone number. Instead of reaching Santa, the phone number put kids through to the CONAD Commander-in-Chief’s operations “hotline.” The Director of Operations at the time, Colonel Harry Shoup, had his staff check the radar for indications of Santa making his way south from the North Pole. Children who called were given updates on his location, and a tradition was born.”

On the site you’ll find lots of content including: videos, a kids countdown, info about Santa and NORAD, plus lots more content which comes online 24 December.

Join the experience at noradsanta.org as NORAD counts down to Santa’s takeoff.

Also, for up-to-the minute updates on Santa’s whereabouts on Dec. 24th, be sure to call the NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center at 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) to speak to an official Santa tracker.

Shades of Green Christmas 2010 Activities

Shades of Green has announced several Christmas Holiday activities that are coming up in November and December. If you are there on the days indicated check these out.

  • Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Shades of Green lobby on Friday, 26 November 2010. Refreshments will be served.
  • For the Kids “Build a Gingerbread Village” in the Shades of Green lobby 1 December 2010 from 1700-1900 hrs.
  • Santa Claus will be visiting Shades of Green on Christmas Eve from 1700- 2000 hrs in the lobby next to the Christmas Tree. Professional photographers will be available to take souvenir photos of your family with Santa.
  • Shades of Green will have Holiday Carolers strolling throughout the resort singing seasonal favorites on December 24 & 25 from 1600-2130 hours.
  • Garden Gallery will be offering a special Christmas Day Buffet from 1600-2000 hrs. Advance reservations are recommended for the Christmas Dinner Buffet in Garden Gallery.
  • Call SoG Guest Services for up to date holiday information and to make reservations at 407-824-2437.
