Shades of Green Opens To Non Retired Veterans

Are you one of the many who served your country in the US Military for less than the 20 years required to retire? Perhaps it wasn’t right for you, you moved on to a better job, or you wanted more stability.

Well now with their “Salute to Our Veterans” Program, Shades of Green is accepting reservations from non-retired US military veterans for stays in September 2011.

Eligibility Requirements are: Those who served in the military for less than 20 years and received an honorable discharge are eligible to stay at Shades of Green during the months of January and September only. Proof of honorable discharge is required.

You may obtain a copy of your DD-214 by clicking here.

yourfirstvisit.net Guest Post

Dave at The Walt Disney World Instruction Manual – yourfirstvisit.net asked me to do a guest post on some current info for military families.

I was more than happy to oblige. Dave has a great site which both the first time visitor to Walt Disney World and the seasoned veteran can enjoy. The site contains a huge amount of information with lots of topics that can really help the first time visitor. But Dave will post on any topic, which keeps those who’ve been to Disney more than once coming back for more.

I posted on Shades of Green’s new Last Chance Package, a room and meal package available at Shades 1-31 October 2010. Drop by Dave’s site to see my post and explore his whole site.

Military Disney Tips Has A New Updated Look

Check out the main site. I’ve just uploaded the updated site with a new, improved look that more closely matches the look of the blog.

I’ve been putting a lot of time into recreating all of the web site pages in a new web design program. Now that this project is over I’ll have more time to work on more content for the blog and site…

Thanks for reading, I hope that you enjoy!

Ears of Experience – New Web Site

Amy at Ears of Experience just unveiled their magical new web site. It’s got a great new look with sections on Disney specials, kid’s tips, special needs, and concierge packages (with special services by the Mouse Experts).

Ears of Experience is owned and operated by a military family. They truly are Mouse Experts, they only do Disney travel reservations, which keeps them current and knowledgeable on such a large and constantly changing topic. A great example is their Concierge packages where for an extra fee they provide detailed and personalized itineraries, dining reservations, and texting support during your trip.

You’ll never pay anything extra for your reservations as Ears of Experience is a fee free travel agent. You’ll pay the same as when you spend all the time researching and making the reservations with Disney yourself (Concierge service is extra). They’ll save you lots of time and probably some money too with their great service.

I’ve used them myself and highly recommend them!

Drop by and check out the new site and as always if you make your Disney reservation through the Mouse Experts at Ears of Experience please mention that Military Disney Tips referred you!

No More Universal Military Salute for 2010

It’s official…

NBC Universal Military Sales confirmed for me today that “Universal has no plans for another Salute Program”. This ends the recent era in which all three major Orlando Florida Theme Parks had Military Salutes in effect. Universal Orlando’s ran from January 2009 until last month. Disney World’s has run form January 2009 and ends September this year (tickets must be purchased by 31 July). While Anheuser-Busch has offered their Here’s to the Heros Salute year in year out since 2005.

You can still take advantage Universal’s regular military discounts see the details at Universal Parks Military Discounts
