Shades of Green Resort - Wallt Disney World FloridaMilitary Appreciation Month is May 2012 and Shades of Green will be offering discounted room rates during part of the month.

The dates that this discount is available are 1-19 May and 27-31 May 2012

Black out dates are May 20th – 26th.

The Discounted Rates Are:

  • Category 1 guests $89.00 per night
  • Category 2 guests $99.00 per night
  • Category 3 guests $99.00 per night

Pre-Order Disney Theme Park Tickets at Shades of Green

Shades of Green at Walt Disney World has introduced a new time saving service.

The Problem

Guests staying at Shades of Green who planned on purchasing their Military Discounted Magic your Way theme park tickets or Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets once they arrived often encountered long lines at Shade’s Ticket Office. This could cause frustration on the part of the guests trying to get to Disney’s theme parks as quick as possible, especially those trying to make the Extra Magic Hour early park opening first thing in the morning.

The Solution

Shades has now started emailing guests prior to their stay with pre-purchasing information for Disney’s tickets as well as Universal Orlando, Sea World, and all the other military discount tickets that they sell for the Orlando area.

The email includes links to the current ticket price document as well as an order form which can be downloaded, printed, filled out, and faxed in.

Your tickets will then be waiting for you upon check-in at the front desk.

This is a great solution to a problem that has plagued Shades’ guests for a long time.

Shades of Green Celebrates the month of the Military Child

Shades of Green Resort - Wallt Disney World FloridaApril is designated as the Month of the Military Child, underscoring the important role military children play in the armed forces community. The Month of the Military Child is an opportunity to recognize military children and youth for their heroism, character, courage, sacrifices and continued resilience.

There are 1.7 million American children and youth under 18 with a parent serving in the military and about 900,000 with one or both parents deployed multiple times.

Shades of Green is celebrating the second half of the month by offering a 4-night package.

From 14 through 30 April 2011 these 4-night packages will start at $349.00 (based upon double occupancy).

That works out to $87.25 per night a big savings on the regular category 1 price.

The tie-in to the Month of the Military Child is that besides the great room rate, for each paying adult at Shades of Green restaurants a child under 10 will eat for free.

Stay 27 November through 30 November and you’ll receive free internet access (regularly $6.95 per day) and free parking (regularly $5.00 per day).
