Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from Military Disney TipsWe’ve entered a great time of year, a time when there are many occasions to be thankful. Just last month we celebrated Veteran’s Day, I’m personally thankful for my military brethren who have and continue to serve. For those who deploy over and over in support of our military’s needs and especially the spouses and families who carry on at home during those deployments.

Last month after attending a retirement in the Newport News area my wife and I took a weekend trip Washington DC. We toured all the memorials on the National Mall and Arlington Cemetery as well as the Museum of American History. It was all so inspiring. While there we also got to see the running of the Army Ten Miler a race through downtown DC. As we watched we were so impressed with all the people and groups running to show their support and then a military member who’d lost both his legs ran by… It was overwhelming the feelings of thanks and pride that ran through me.

Today is Thanksgiving, another day to be thankful for all the bounty that we have here in America. One thing I’ve learned during my travels around the world in the military is just how good we have it here in the USA. Take a moment during your day to reflect on all those who aren’t home.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is one of our special Holidays here in America, a day to give thanks. Also a day for time with friends and family, lots of great food, parades, football, and post turkey naps.

Please take a moment today to give thanks in your own way that we are so fortunate to live in this wonderful country. A country where one can live their dreams as Walt Disney did, starting with nothing to build a franchise which brings so much joy to people today. A country to which people of the world still flock to in order to have a better life for their families and to live their dreams.

Also give thanks today for all of the fine men and women of our armed services both past and present, many of whom are far away from home today. The members of our military have and continue to make sacrifices each and every day to support and defend our nation, and others, around the world. We truly are fortunate to have individuals willing to make these sacrifices!

Today my thanks goes out to all of my military brethren who are far form home today. You truly are Heroes!
