href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-world-celebration\/\">World Celebration<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2019, EPCOT began a multi-year makeover for the Walt Disney World 50-year anniversary in 2021 (it was just completed in 2024!). Prior to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/\">EPCOT&#8217;s<\/a>\u00a0recent construction and transformation of the front half of the park, World Celebration was part of Future World. Future World has now been divided into 3 new neighborhoods or &#8220;Worlds&#8221; to match the naming convention of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-world-showcase\/\">World Showcase<\/a>. Both routes come together on the backside of the attraction on a long central plaza.<\/p>\n<p>World Celebration leads towards the rear of the park and is the main connection to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-world-showcase\/\">World Showcase<\/a>. World Celebration\u00a0sits between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-world-discovery\/\">World Discovery<\/a> to the left and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-world-nature\/\">World Nature<\/a> to the right.<\/p>\n<p>As you leave Spaceship Earth behind you&#8217;ll encounter a Dreamer&#8217;s Point, a beautiful hub divided into several different gardens, with a central planter based on the five-ring EPCOT logo. Filled with ample seating and shade. Here, you\u2019ll also discover a statue of Walt Disney\u2014a reminder for us all to dream big.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31902\" src=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Dreamers-Point-Walt.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Dreamers-Point-Walt.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Dreamers-Point-Walt-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Dreamers-Point-Walt-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Dreamers-Point-Walt-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This area is adjacent to CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CommuniCore Hall is a multi-use facility and outdoor event space that\u00a0will be a flexible exhibition and gallery space, offering a wide variety of experiences that highlight art, live music, food \u2013 complete with a demonstration kitchen \u2013 and more.<\/li>\n<li>CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor event space that will have the flexibility to host intimate musical performances that extend out into the nearby gardens, as well as large-scale concerts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Expect these areas to be a big part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/epcot\/military-disney-tips-guide-to-the-epcot-festivals\/\">the various festivals that EPCOT hosts during the year<\/a>, such as the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The CommuniCore name reaches back to the origins of EPCOT. The Imagination Pavilion along with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-odyssey-pavilion-the-history-of-an-underused-location\/\">Odyssey Pavilion<\/a> are the exceptions, residing outside of the loop. Meanwhile, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana which is part of World Nature is inside the loop.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Attractions\"><\/span>Attractions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-theme-parks\/epcot\/epcots-spaceship-earth-park-icon-and-beloved-attraction\/\">Spaceship Earth<\/a><i>\u00a0<\/i>\u2013<\/strong> Ride through an audio-animatronic history of communications. Board your two to four person vehicle for a ride through time. As your vehicle proceeds up the track into the geosphere (the Spaceship Earth \u201cgolf ball\u201d as many describe it) you will pass many scenes of how communication has progressed from cave paintings to the printing press and on to computers. At the top you\u2019ll emerge into the top section of the sphere which is wide open and dark except for the huge planet earth projected near the top. Then your car turns around for the steep backwards journey down. While descending you can answer some questions about your preferences on your vehicle screen and then see what your future might be like. My tip is to do this attraction at night for the best experience.
