This land was initially planned to be temporary (for just the birthday celebration period), with no real permanent buildings. There were 3 large structures with sidewalls and vinyl tent roofs that housed meet and greets, a live show, and merch shop.<\/p>\n<p>The land was run as an extension of Tomorrowland as far as food and merchandise departments were concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Attractions Included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mickey&#8217;s House &#8211; Walkthrough<\/li>\n<li>Minnie&#8217;s House &#8211; Walkthrough<\/li>\n<li>Donald&#8217;s Boat &#8211; Splash Area<\/li>\n<li>Grandmas Duck Farm &#8211; A petting farm with live animals including Minnie Moo (a black and white cow with a natural black Mickey Head on her side)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31925\" src=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Magic-Kingdom-Mickeys-Birthdayland-Minnie-Moo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Magic-Kingdom-Mickeys-Birthdayland-Minnie-Moo.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Magic-Kingdom-Mickeys-Birthdayland-Minnie-Moo-600x339.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Magic-Kingdom-Mickeys-Birthdayland-Minnie-Moo-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Magic-Kingdom-Mickeys-Birthdayland-Minnie-Moo-768x434.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new Mickey&#8217;s Birthdayland Train Station was built, and the Walt Disney World Railroad became Mickey&#8217;s Birthday Express, with a music track onboard and huge wrapped presents along the train track leading to the land.<\/p>\n<p>The only food service in the land was a cart that sold birthday cupcakes (chocolate and vanilla, that Steve ordered as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/about-military-disney-tips\/\">his job at WDW<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Name_Changes\"><\/span>Name Changes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Having decided not to close the temporary land, the name of the land was changed to Mickey&#8217;s Starland in May 1990. In late 1995 the name was changed to Mickey&#8217;s Toyland, which was then closed in early 1996 for an extensive refurbishment. Then on October 1, 1996, it reopened as Mickey&#8217;s Toontown Fair for the park&#8217;s 25th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>There were many changes over the years, with some attractions closing and new ones opening.
