Imagineers are also hard at work beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, bringing to life the first-ever land inspired by the Disney Villains with two major attractions, dining, and shopping all on an incredibly twisted grand scale.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Piston-Peak-National-Park-Poster.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Piston-Peak-National-Park-Poster.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Piston-Peak-National-Park-Poster.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Piston-Peak-National-Park-Poster-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Piston-Peak-National-Park-Poster-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all happening at the Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will reopen next year with new magic, and later this summer, Disney Starlight will grace the streets of Magic Kingdom with its grand debut on July 20, and The Beak and Barrel will welcome pirates of all ages. So follow along every step of the way on Disney Travel News because more details are coming soon.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Ambiance_of\"><\/span>The Ambiance of<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Imagine an awe-inspiring wilderness filled with towering trees, snowcapped mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, roaring rivers, and impressive geysers. While fictional, Piston Peak is inspired by the Rocky Mountain area and the history and iconic sights of the American Frontier and its national parks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2024-wdw-cars-land-expansion-concept-art.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37356\" src=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2024-wdw-cars-land-expansion-concept-art.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2024-wdw-cars-land-expansion-concept-art.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2024-wdw-cars-land-expansion-concept-art-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2024-wdw-cars-land-expansion-concept-art-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Inside Piston Peak, guests will be able to see and explore the visitor lodge, Ranger HQ, trails, and more, all set within the Disney and Pixar \u201cCars\u201d universe. To make sure these buildings fit naturally within the surrounding majestic landscapes, Imagineers are using a style of architecture called \u201cParkitecture,\u201d which was developed by the National Park Service to create structures that harmonize with the natural environment.<\/p>\n<p>From the outside, trees will provide a natural barrier between the off-road rally and other parts of Frontierland and Liberty Square.
