It\u2019s important to note that, because they are not operated by Disney, the Swan and Dolphin, just like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/shades-of-green-resort-at-walt-disney-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shades of Green<\/a>,\u00a0are not decorated with\u00a0Disney Theming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11207\" src=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand.jpg\" alt=\"Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand\" width=\"800\" height=\"537\" data-wp-pid=\"11207\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand-600x403.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand-540x362.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand-447x300.jpg 447w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Dolphin-Bed-Nightstand-400x269.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Resort\"><\/span>The Resort<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Dolphin is located in the Epcot Deluxe Resort Area along with its sister the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-military-discounts\/walt-disney-world-swan-and-dolphin-military-discount-review\/\">Swan<\/a>, and the three Disney Resorts: The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-resorts\/disneys-yacht-club-resort\/\">Yacht<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-resorts\/disneys-beach-club-resort\/\">Beach<\/a> Clubs and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-resorts\/disneys-boardwalk-inn\/\">BoardWalk Inn<\/a>. The Dolphin is the furthest resort of all of these from Epcot\u2019s International Gateway entrance. This also makes it closest to Disney Hollywood Studios.<\/p>\n<p>The Swan and Dolphin are \u201cconvention hotels\u201d catering to conventions, conferences, and meetings. They both have large convention facilities.<\/p>\n<p>There is no Disney theming within the Dolphin or Swan. Only those with the very highest rooms facing Epcot would notice that they are at Walt Disney World.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Room\"><\/span>The Room<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The rooms are quite nice! The furnishings and bedding are high quality and comfortable. Fireworks would be the lower, where you can&#8217;t actually see the Epcot due to the trees, but can see the fireworks over them.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Resort_Amenities\"><\/span>Resort Amenities<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Main Pool with Hot Tub<\/li>\n<li>Two Quiet Pools<\/li>\n<li>Kiddy Pool<\/li>\n<li>Kiddy Water Play Area<\/li>\n<li>Playground<\/li>\n<li>Guest Laundry<\/li>\n<li>Fitness Center and Spa<\/li>\n<li>Lakeside Beach<\/li>\n<li>Camp Dolphin \u2013 Child Care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dining\"><\/span>Dining<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Swan and Dolphin have a plethora of restaurants, many of very high quality. They run the full spectrum from Grab-and-Go to Fine Dining.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shula&#8217;s Steakhouse &#8211; Located on the Dolphin lobby level, reservations are accepted. Breakfast, all-day dining and late night menus are available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I had Breakfast and lunch at the Dolphin&#8217;s\u00a0Picabu and both were fast and great. There were only 2 front desk personnel taking care of the long line of guests trying to check in and out. In comparison, I\u2019ve never waited more than a minute or two to check in to a Disney resort! Not only do they have numerous personnel behind the front desk, but they also have personnel with mobile devices to handle any overflow.<\/p>\n<p>I queried the front desk staff as to why they did not have enough people working to handle their guests in a timely manner, to which she replied &#8220;I&#8217;m sorry, we have a lot of guests checking in and out this time of day.&#8221; <strong>Well In knew that!<\/strong> She just stated the problem to me rather than answering why their guests time was unimportant to them.<\/p>\n<p>Check out was almost as painful, taking only 20 minutes of waiting in line. They do offer an express check out service which you have to call in order\u00a0to participate. I did the standard check out to see if check in was a fluke, it wasn&#8217;t! Marriott members save about $8 per night and fully prepaying your bill (with a 1-day prior cancellation policy) will save an additional $15 to $20 per night.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*There is a mandatory $30 plus tax per day Resort Service Package.<\/strong>\u00a0The Resort Service Package includes extravagances like: in-room High Speed Internet Access, 2 bottles of water daily, unlimited access to the Resort&#8217;s health club facilities, unlimited local and domestic (US mainland) calls, tennis equipment and access to lighted courts, and seasonal pool and recreational activities.<\/p>\n<p>Resort fees are just a way for hotels to advertise a lower rate and then surprise you with the real rate, usually at check in.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.disneytouristblog.com\/fight-back-hotel-resort-fees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">See what the Disney Tourist Blog thinks about Resort Fees<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Suites \u2013 call for rates<\/p>\n<p>Parking is 25 per day for self-parking your car in the Swan and Dolphin\u2019s lot.
