What Can I Do?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\"><strong>You will need to consider other options as a current valid military ID is required to activate the Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets in person upon arrival at Disney.<\/strong><br\/><br\/>If you were sold these special tickets in error or you want to know what tickets you might be eligible for, see below.<br\/><br\/>Here is a link to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/walt-disney-world-military-discount-id-guide-for-veterans\/\">forms of ID Disney accepts<\/a>.<\/p> <\/div> <\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There are several reasons that you might be in this situation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You didn\u2019t know\/weren\u2019t told that you need a current military ID to activate the Salute tickets in person<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You bought Salute tickets before you separated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You surrendered your CAC\/ID when you started terminal leave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your military relative or friend bought Salute tickets for your whole party and can\u2019t go now<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your military relative or friend bought Salute tickets for you not knowing that they had to go with you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ticket_You_Cant_Activate\"><\/span>Ticket You Can\u2019t Activate<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you or the sponsor has not left the military yet<\/strong>, go to the Base Ticket Office where you bought the tickets and insist on a refund. The&nbsp;Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets are non-refundable so you will have an argument on your hands. But explain that they have sold you tickets that you will not be able to use. Request they call their supervisor or regional management if they do not think they have sold you the tickets in error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then if you do get a refund buy&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-military-discounts\/regular-disney-military-discount-for-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-tickets\/\">Regular Military Discounted Tickets<\/a> instead. These can be used without an ID after purchase (but are much more expensive).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you can&#8217;t get a refund or don&#8217;t have access to a Base Ticket Office<\/strong>, the only recourse is to request in person upon arrival that&nbsp;Disney allow&nbsp;you use the Salute ticket purchase price towards full price tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I recommend bringing all of the following that apply to use during your attempt to get some value out of your tickets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The original purchase receipt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A photocopy of the sponsor\u2019s CAC\/ID (if there is a eligible sponsor who cannot attend) <em><strong>Please see my note about this below before you get mad and comment!<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A photocopy of your old CAC\/ID (if you can do it before you surrender it) <em><strong>Please see my note about this below before you get mad and comment!<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A letter from the sponsor explaining why they cannot attend (if there is a eligible sponsor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A letter from you explaining why you could not use the tickets prior to surrendering your CAC\/ID<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any documentation to back up the letter (doctors notes, denied leave requests, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Use the documentation above during your firm but polite conversation with the Disney ticketing cast member to make your case.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If needed politely request to elevate your request up the Disney chain of command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Keep in mind you will not be allowed to use the tickets as is, because you are no longer\/not eligible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To Be Clear:<\/strong> What you are asking Disney to do&nbsp;is to allow&nbsp;you use the Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets towards the purchase of full price tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just in case, you should be prepared to cover the full price yourself if Disney does not allow you to use the Salute tickets towards full price ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ticket_Prices\"><\/span>Ticket Prices<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Full price Disney tickets are way more expensive than the&nbsp;Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets. The&nbsp;Salute tickets are about half the price of comparable full price or&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-military-discounts\/regular-disney-military-discount-for-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-tickets\/\">Regular Military Discounted Tickets<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But you could buy tickets for a shorter&nbsp;number of days if you do not have enough to cover longer ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Full Price Ticket Prices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/disneyworld.disney.go.com\/destinations\/all-parks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Walt Disney World<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/disneyland.disney.go.com\/tickets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Disneyland Resort<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>NOTE: Yes, technically photocopying a military ID is&nbsp;illegal as some&nbsp;purists have noted in the comments section below.&nbsp;However&nbsp;the intent of this rule is so that some business that you are dealing with (say an auto dealership, payday loan place, or hotel) can&#8217;t get a copy to use for untoward purposes later.
