For instance, my Delta Skymiles Card gives me 3x miles per dollar on hotel charges versus a single point per dollar for package purchases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Back in 2021, Disney started offering &#8220;Basic Packages,&#8221; a room reservation with just the Magical Extras without any of the other add-ons, and usually not mentioning to you that they were reserving a package for you instead of a room only.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The active military community often relies on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-armed-forces-salute\/2021-disney-armed-forces-salute-room-package-vs-room-only-reservation\/\">flexibility of room-only reservations<\/a>, and packages are less flexible!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Contemporary-Tower.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17347\" src=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Contemporary-Tower.jpg\" alt=\"Disney Room Only Reservation Versus a Package What's the Difference?\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Contemporary-Tower.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Contemporary-Tower-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Contemporary-Tower-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Contemporary-Tower-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Room_Only_%E2%80%93_The_Most_Familiar\"><\/span>Room Only &#8211; The Most Familiar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Room-only reservations are probably the most familiar type of Disney Resort Reservation for those in the Military Community.<\/p>\n<p>This is because of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/the-disney-armed-forces-salute-military-ticket-and-room-discounts\/\">Disney Armed Forces Salute<\/a>, which offers highly discounted Military Theme Park Tickets and Room Rates.
