Park Reservations ahead of time you need to link the temporary\u00a0tickets (or vouchers) that you purchased from a military reseller (Base Ticket Office) to your <a year out).<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Getting_Your_Tickets\"><\/span>Getting Your Tickets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The first thing you must do is to buy your tickets and have them in hand prior to the date you want to make your theme park reservations.<br \/>\nThere are several ways to do this.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buy them from your (or a nearby) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/military-discount-theme-park-tickets\/your-base-information-travel-and-ticket-office\/\">Base Ticket Office<\/a> (allow 2 extra weeks for them to order tickets if necessary)<\/li>\n<li>Buy your tickets from Shades of Green, Camp Pendleton, or another base\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-military-discounts\/buy-military-discounted-disney-tickets-by-phone\/\">via phone\/email<\/a> (allow 2 extra weeks for them to order tickets and a couple days to FedEx)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Paper_Vouchers_or_Tickets\"><\/span>Paper Vouchers or Tickets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"wp-caption-text\">Disney Armed Forces Salute Paper Ticket Vouchers<\/p><\/div>\n<p>When buying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/the-disney-armed-forces-salute-military-ticket-and-room-discounts\/\">Disney\u2019s Armed Forces Salute tickets<\/a> from a Base Ticket Office, including Camp Pendleton you will be given one of 3 different products:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plastic Tickets that are\u00a0non-functional<\/li>\n<li>Paper Ticket Vouchers\u00a0that look like the green ones depicted here (they have also been blue)<\/li>\n<li>An 8.5&#8243; x 11&#8243; Paper Voucher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In all\u00a0cases these are what Disney calls Exchange Vouchers. They are called Exchange Vouchers because they must be exchanged once you arrive at WDW for your actual tickets during the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-military-discounts\/how-to-activate-your-disney-armed-forces-salute-theme-park-tickets\/\">Activation Process<\/a>. Note if you have Magic Bands you may not be given physical tickets during the activation process (unless you ask for them).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shades of Green sells their tickets pre-activated. If you purchased from Shades this activation procedure is not required!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarydisneytips.com\/blog\/disney-military-discounts\/regular-disney-military-discount-for-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-tickets\/\">Regular Military Discounted Disney Tickets<\/a>\u00a0do not normally need to be exchanged upon arrival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Both types of the paper ticket vouchers and non-functional tickets can be linked to your MDE account!<\/strong>\u00a0Once linked you may make your park reservations.<\/p>\n<p>You can link your vouchers\/tickets by typing the\u00a0individual number printed on each into the MDE website or by scanning the barcode with your <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/my-disney-experience-walt\/id547436543?mt=8&amp;uo=4&amp;at=10lHEW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MDE Smart Phone App<\/a>, scanning the vouchers is easiest!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rest assured that your Theme Park Reservations will carry over to your actual park tickets after activation!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your Theme Park Reservations are made against the names of those in your party, not their ticket numbers. The linking of the tickets merely allows Theme Park Reservations for the number of days on the voucher\/ticket. When the actual ticket is linked to the individual their Theme Park Reservations will be usable on the ticket\/magic bands\/smart phone app linked to their name.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ticket_Linking_Directions\"><\/span>Ticket Linking Directions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>Note: <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>All Salute\u00a0tickets (vouchers) should link just fine with the directions\u00a0below.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>But\u00a0if you\u00a0experience any\u00a0trouble you can always\u00a0call the tech support number and they will happily link them for you.\u00a0Disney Internet Help Desk at 800-848-6413, option #3<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>First you need to have a My Disney Experience account &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/disneyworld.disney.go.com\/plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Get one here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Link your Disney Resort Reservation<\/strong>\u00a0if needed, by typing in your\u00a0conformation\u00a0number and last name &#8211;\u00a0On the My Disney Experience menu click &#8220;My Reservations and Tickets&#8221;, then on the next page &#8220;Link Resort Reservation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next add the other members of your party<\/strong>\u00a0if needed, (On the My Disney Experience menu (right side) click &#8220;My Family and Friends&#8221;). If you&#8217;ve linked a resort reservation, everyone on the reservation will already be in your account.<\/p>\n<p>Before You Link Your Tickets &#8211; Write the name of each person in your party on a\u00a0ticket. They look very\u00a0similar\u00a0on Disney&#8217;s tickets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will then be asked to associate the ticket with a person in your MDE account.
