program to have bags transferred both <strong>to<\/strong> and <strong>from<\/strong> Orlando International Airport. When Disney\u2019s Magical Express ended in 2022, all of that convenience disappeared.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, Disney and Southwest began carefully bringing back the <strong>luggage-only<\/strong> side of things\u2014now operated by <strong>BagCheck<\/strong>. First, the ability to check bags at the resort for your return flight home quietly returned in April 2025. Then, in November 2025, Disney added inbound luggage transfer from MCO to your resort, creating a true round-trip baggage service once again.<\/p>\n<p>This service is incredibly useful for families, especially when you want to squeeze every last minute out of your arrival and departure days. Let\u2019s walk through exactly how it works now, what\u2019s new, and what you need to know before you fly.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Participating_Resorts_and_Airline\"><\/span>Participating Resorts and Airline<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This luggage transfer pilot program is very limited in scope. It is only available to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Southwest Airlines<\/strong> customers<\/li>\n<li>Staying at <strong>Disney Value Resorts<\/strong> only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participating Disney Resort hotels include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disney\u2019s All-Star Movies Resort<\/li>\n<li>Disney\u2019s All-Star Music Resort<\/li>\n<li>Disney\u2019s All-Star Sports Resort<\/li>\n<li>Disney\u2019s Art of Animation Resort<\/li>\n<li>Disney\u2019s Pop Century Resort<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No Moderate or Deluxe Resorts are included at this time, and this service is not offered at Shades of Green. Your checked bags will follow you and arrive at your resort hotel within a few hours.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Register for the service before your trip.<\/strong><br \/>\nYou must complete Disney\u2019s Airport Luggage Transfer registration form:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Register <strong>between 30 days and 5 days before<\/strong> your flight into Orlando.<\/li>\n<li>Have your <strong>Disney Resort confirmation number<\/strong> ready.<\/li>\n<li>Have your <strong>Southwest Airlines confirmation number<\/strong> ready.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you register, you\u2019ll receive a confirmation email that includes important details and a link to track your luggage after it\u2019s been checked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check in for your Southwest flight as normal.<\/strong><br \/>\nBeginning 24 hours before departure, check in via the Southwest app or website and pay any baggage fees, if applicable. (Southwest\u2019s usual baggage rules apply\u2014this Disney service does not change airline policies.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check your bags at your home airport.<\/strong><br \/>\nAt your departure airport, follow the standard Southwest procedures to check your luggage. It lets you check your bags at your resort before heading to the airport, freeing you up to enjoy more of your last day.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Check in for your Southwest flight online.<\/strong><br \/>\nStarting 24 hours before departure, check in using the Southwest app or website and pay any applicable baggage fees.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bring your bags to Luggage Assistance at your resort.<\/strong><br \/>\nHead to the <strong>Luggage Assistance<\/strong> area in or near your resort\u2019s lobby. You\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A valid government-issued photo ID.<\/li>\n<li>Your boarding pass (mobile boarding passes are accepted).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also call Luggage Assistance from your in-room phone for help getting your bags to the drop-off location.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow the updated bag drop-off deadlines.<\/strong><br \/>\nDisney strongly encourages dropping your bags the night before your departure.
