By now, you probably know a little bit about me.  This page will give you a good idea about how we work with advertisers and brands, so you can decide if we might be a good fit to work together.

What Makes Military Disney Tips Different?

We are Military and serve a US Military Audience. This includes current military members (Active, Guard, and Reserve), military retirees, veterans, and their spouses and families.

Most Disney sites skim the surface of this topic and have a page with very basic information about the military discounts that are available for a Disney vacation, if that. Some just cram their military info into general discount posts.

And honestly their info most likely came from here!

We live and breath these discounts, we use them ourselves, and we are very passionate about our community! We cover every aspect possible.

Our readership is roughly 55% female, as often the military spouse is the individual planning vacations for the family. 52% of our readers fall within the 25 – 44 year old brackets, these are your current military members, while 14% are younger and 34% are older.

We are Very Selective About the Brands We Work With!

We’ve been doing this since 2008 and have a great working knowledge of what works and what doesn’t in this very specific niche.

Our goal is to only work with advertisers and on campaigns that are a benefit to both the brand and our readers. We want our readers to find value in our content and for our sponsors to want to work with us over and over again.

Offering a Military Discount is not required but is a huge interest magnet for this community! Brands that offer a military discount perform the best on Military Disney Tips! It goes without saying that your military discount should be better than discounts available to the general public, our community will call you out on this if it isn’t!

We can guide you through the various eligibility statuses for our community to determine the target audience for your discount, as well  methods of verification if desired.

Brands and campaign types that would NOT be the best fit with our readers

Our readers come to Military Disney Tips to learn about and plan for their Disney vacation. They are not in the frame of mind to buy unrelated merchandise or to hear about unrelated topics.

  • Programatic Advertising (Our ad partner is one of the Top 7 media companies, Raptive Rocks!)
  • General Public Merchandise
  • Disney Merchandise (Sadly)
  • Military Type Gear (flashlights, knives, camo gear, medals and ribbons, etc.)
  • General Topics the Military Would be Interested In (four wheeling, camping, shooting, etc.)
  • Medical Issues the Military Community Deals With. Our community is taking a Disney vacation to get away from the stress of military life or the PTS they deal with every day. They do not want to read about these things while thinking about a getaway!
  • Emails that start out “Dear militarydisneytips.com, I’ve spent a lot of time on your site and love it…”, or that don’t even have a salutation to at all. If you’ve spent time on the site, why don’t you know my name or why have you never read this page, which is linked to in the top menu and footer of every page?
  • Emails from “businesses” that use a Gmail or other anonymous providers. If you are a professional you will use an email from the company or domain that you represent. Using Gmail is incredibly unprofessional!
  • Services that We Offer

Brand Ambassadorships

Our preference is to work with brands on a six-month to one-year basis. Our readers have a better chance to get to know your brand more in depth when you are presented to them multiple times.

Depending upon your goals and budget, we can design a brand ambassador program that incorporates blog posts, social shares and more.

Banner Advertisements

Our banner advertisements are mostly handled by an outside agency. We do work directly with appropriate, on topic brands for access to our premium spots. Please contact us for rates.

Sponsored Posts

If you want to test the waters before hiring us as Brand Ambassadors, we do offer a limited opportunity for on topic one-off sponsored posts.

Our sponsored posts come standard with one share to Facebook. More social shares may be added to the standard package. Please contact us for rates.

Email Marketing

We offer a variety of email marketing packages for our highly engaged email list. Email Marketing can also be bundled with our other services. We have over 11,000 highly engaged monthly subscribers (58% Open Rate). We also have weekly introductory series that go out to smaller targeted audiences with 56%-60% Open Rates..

Social Media Promotion

If social awareness is what you desire, we will work with you to design a campaign to get your message in front of our social media followers so they can engage with it. Our social presence is mostly focused on Facebook, where our community resides.

Affiliate Programs

We are open to working as affiliates for brands with lucrative, relevant affiliate programs. Authenticity is very important to us, so keep in mind that we only promote products and services we have personal experience with.

Partnership Pricing

We don’t offer a standard rate sheet. Instead, we prefer to learn what each brand’s goals are and create a proposal based upon what we believe will help you reach your goals. And if you have a budget in mind, that will be extremely helpful because we can cater the proposal to be in line with your finances.
