Those trying to book stays at Shades of Green for dates in September 2021 have been having no luck all year.
This is because the DoD Warrior Games were scheduled to be held at Walt Disney World on 12 – 22 September 2021. All participants were to have stayed at Shades of Green. Shades of Green turned away a lot of military families in order to host these games.
Yesterday (17 Aug 21) the Army cancelled the games for 2021.
Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth, as the executive agent for the DoD Warrior Games, made the decision to cancel the 2021 games in consultation with senior Army leaders, medical professionals and key stakeholders to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.“
Availability Has Opened Up
Availability for that timeframe in September has opened up, they just did this as when I checked earlier this morning those dates were still unavailable, but they are now!
