The Ambiance of Grand Avenue

During the big reorganization of the park that took place in the leadup to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Muppet’s Courtyard, and what was left of the Streets of America areas were combined under the land name: Grand Avenue. Now with Disney’s post-2024 changes to the park, the old Muppet’s Courtyard area of Grand Avenue is going to be made into the new Monster’s Inc. Land. The new land will feature a new suspended coaster that recreates the Monster’s Inc. door vault scene, as well as dining, shopping, and a whole new theater show.

Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and their friends will be moving to Sunset Boulevard, where they will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!

Muppet*Vision 3D – [Permanently Closed 7 June 2025] Dive into the zany world of the Muppets at Muppet*Vision 3D, an attraction that combines film and live-action in a hilarious theater show. Join Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the Muppet crew for a unique experience filled with classic Muppet humor, unexpected surprises, and a dose of 3D magic. It’s an attraction that appeals to guests of all ages, showcasing the timeless appeal of the Muppets. Will transform into a new movie presentation with the change to Monster’s Inc.

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano – [Permanently Closed 10 May 2025] Nestled in the heart of Grand Avenue, Mama Melrose’s offers a taste of Italy with a Californian twist. This cozy eatery serves up hearty Italian dishes in a setting that blends Old World charm with Hollywood glam. From wood-fired pizzas to pasta specials, Mama Melrose’s is a warm, inviting spot perfect for family meals or romantic dinners.
PizzeRizzo – [Permanently Closed 7 June 2025] Step into the world of the Muppets at PizzeRizzo, run by none other than Rizzo the Rat. This family-friendly pizzeria serves up a variety of pizzas, salads, and Italian-inspired entrees in a casual, counter-service setting. Themed after a classic New York pizzeria, PizzeRizzo offers both indoor and outdoor seating where guests can enjoy their meals amidst Muppet-inspired decor and a few playful surprises. It’s a fantastic dining option for families and fans of the Muppets looking for a quick, tasty meal with a side of fun.

BaseLine Tap House – Capturing the essence of a Downtown LA brewery, BaseLine Tap House offers a selection of California craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Guests can unwind in the relaxed, modern atmosphere, enjoying small plates and the laid-back vibe of a trendy LA bar. It’s an ideal spot for a casual drink or a light bite, embodying the contemporary spirit of Grand Avenue.
Ice Cold Hydraulics – This new location sponsored by Coke offers snacks, drinks, and ice cream. Menu items include cinnamon rolls, churros, pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, and a selection of Nestle ice cream products. Alcoholic beverages like frozen slushies with whiskey or rum, draft beer, and a selection of wines. Non-alcoholic beverages include Dasani water, frozen slushies made with Coca-Cola, Minute Maid Lemonade, and Fanta Blue Raspberry.

It’s A Wonderful Shop – [Not Announced, but Probably Permanently Closing 10 May 2025] This holiday-themed store is easily accessible from Grand Avenue and offers a range of Christmas decorations and gifts.
