Baseline Tap House is a hidden quick service lounge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that you may have heard of or stumbled upon, but we’re here to say that on your next trip be sure to track it down!

📍Hollywood Studios | Grand Avenue
PRO-TIP: Baseline Tap House is family-friendly welcoming people of all ages, but this is also one of our Disney recommendations for Adult-only Vacations, and a great slightly more adult place to enjoy a snack and a cold beer.
Atmosphere
The Baseline is designed to look like it’s in a repurposed print shop (see History below). You’ll see lots of interesting items left over from those days, like print shop hardware on shelves and old Disney print jobs hanging about. The Tap House pays homage to the Figueroa Printing Company—a mom-and-pop print house that once enjoyed a flourishing partnership with Disney Studios.
There is a beautiful standing only bar constructed of printer’s cabinets with lots of little drawers, which unfortunately has not been used by guests since reopening after 2020. You just get your order then go find a seat.
The Baseline Tap House is very popular and finding said seat can be a challenge. In fact in busier times a line forms out the door and around the corner to Grand Avenue to order.
Seating
The vibe inside Baseline Tap House is like that of a small craft brewery. It is small and intimate with lots of wood accents. Unfortunately, the big drawback of Baseline Tap House is the seating. Inside there is only one large high-top table and low, narrow counters under the front facing windows. However, there are plenty of tables with umbrellas and wooden stools for you to enjoy your mid-afternoon break outside.
Outside under the shady trees you’ll find lots of seating on picnic style tables, High-top tables and ledges with chairs, as well as standing high-tops. There are quite a few fans around to keep the air moving in the hotter weather.
While we love dedication to a good theme, Disney, your park is located in Orlando, Florida, which is the temperature of the Devil’s front porch. Why on Earth are you making us sit outside?
The Tap House is located near the Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre on the corner of Commissary Lane and Grand Avenue.
Menu
Just like the overall vibe, the menu is that of a trendy craft brewery with a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails along with some delicious snacks.
The Baseline Tap House offers a broad selection of California craft ales, lagers and cider. Plus a variety of California wines on tap and specialty cocktails.
Move over deep-fried bar food. Baseline Tap House is known best for its large pretzel and the charcuterie board. Widely regarded as one of the best in all of Walt Disney World, this delightful assortment of artisanal meats, cheeses, and accompaniments is a must-try for any visitor. Just like adults can enjoy Walt Disney World as much, if not more than a child, we can thoroughly enjoy an over complicated Lunchable as well. House-made Sweet-and-Spicy Almonds round out the 3-Item menu. The mediocre Beef Puffed Pastry and olive salad has disappeared from the menu.
It is important to note that the Disney Dining Plan is not accepted at Baseline Tap House.
History
The Baseline Tap House opened in late 2017 in the location that formerly housed The Writer’s Stop, a coffee shop that also sold a very small selection of books that was based upon the book store Ellen DeGeneres’ character owned in the ABC 90’s show Ellen. The changes in this area, the demolition of the Streets of America area, themed movie street sets resembling both San Francisco and New York, and the creation of Grand Avenue paved the way to flow into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Many were sad to see the Writer’s Stop go, but the Baseline is an awesome replacement!
Conclusion
Relax, take a break, grab a beer and a giant pretzel and just enjoy. Don’t forget that vacation is about rest and relaxation, too.
