As you enter Toy Story Land keep an eye out for adorable touches like Jessie and Rex perched atop towering structures overlooking Slinky Dog Dash, seemingly cheering you on for the adventure ahead.
The Queue
As you approach Slinky Dog Dash, you’ll find yourself immersed in Andy’s backyard, where he’s ingeniously assembled his Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster Play Kit. The queue winds through a whimsical landscape filled with giant toys, colorful building blocks, and playful details that bring the Toy Story world to life.
The vibrant and lively atmosphere makes the wait enjoyable, but be prepared for potentially long lines, especially during peak hours unless you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Luckily, the surrounding scenery offers plenty to admire and discuss with your fellow riders as anticipation builds.
The Ride
Once onboard, Slinky Dog springs into action, taking you on a thrilling ride full of twists, turns, and gentle drops that are perfect for both kids and adults.
The coaster zips through Andy’s backyard, offering delightful views of Toy Story Land and beyond.
Midway through the ride, Slinky Dog pauses to recharge before launching forward once more, adding an extra burst of excitement to the experience.
The smooth and speedy journey is accompanied by cheerful music and playful surprises, including a serenade from Wheezy the Penguin at the finale, leaving you with a big smile as you roll back into the station.
The Ride Vehicle
The ride vehicle itself is designed to resemble our favorite stretchy dachshund, complete with his cheerful face leading the way. Each train consists of several segments, comfortably seating two guests per row with lap bar restraints to keep everyone secure during the ride. The seats are roomy and cushioned, making for a pleasant experience even during the more exhilarating moments. Boarding and exiting the vehicle is straightforward, with minimal steps and ample space, accommodating guests of various ages and sizes with ease.
Rider Swap
For those visiting with little ones or members of the party who prefer to sit this one out, Slinky Dog Dash offers a convenient Rider Swap option. Simply inform a Cast Member at the entrance, and they will assist in arranging the swap so that everyone who wishes to ride gets a turn without waiting in line twice. This system ensures that no one misses out on the fun, and families can seamlessly enjoy their day together.
Accessibility
Guests with mobility issues are well accommodated on Slinky Dog Dash. The attraction requires a transfer from wheelchairs or scooters to the ride vehicle, and Cast Members are readily available to provide assistance and guidance throughout the process. The loading area is spacious and designed to facilitate easy and comfortable boarding for all guests, ensuring an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Height Requirement
Riders must be at least 38 inches tall to enjoy Slinky Dog Dash.
