Embark on a serene journey through the mystical world of Pandora on the Na’vi River Journey!
Na’vi River Journey is located in Pandora – The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The Queue
As you enter the queue for Na’vi River Journey, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the lush, bioluminescent forests of Pandora. The queue winds through dense vegetation, with softly glowing plants and the distant sounds of exotic creatures filling the air.
The environment is designed to transport you to another world, with every detail carefully crafted to immerse you in the beauty and tranquility of Pandora. The queue is mostly outdoors but shaded by the towering flora of the alien landscape. While the line can get long, the soothing ambiance and stunning visuals help make the wait more pleasant.
The Ride
Na’vi River Journey is a gentle boat ride that takes you deep into the heart of Pandora’s glowing rainforest. As you glide along the river, you’ll be surrounded by the vibrant flora and fauna of the Na’vi’s world, with bioluminescent plants lighting your way.
The ride is a feast for the senses, with incredible attention to detail in the scenery and the peaceful sounds of the jungle creating a calming atmosphere.
The highlight of the journey is the encounter with the Shaman of Songs, a Na’vi spiritual leader whose mesmerizing music and movements add a magical touch to the experience. The ride is more about soaking in the atmosphere and marveling at the beauty of Pandora than thrills, making it a perfect experience for guests of all ages.
The Ride Vehicle
The ride vehicle is a simple, open boat that seats up to eight guests, with four in each row. The seating is bench-style, without any restraints, as the ride is slow-moving and gentle. These boats are very similar to those used in “it’s a small world” and Pirates of the Caribbean.
The boats glide smoothly through the water, making for a relaxing experience as you take in the stunning visuals around you. Boarding and exiting the boat is easy, with low steps and plenty of space to step in and out, making it accessible for most guests.
Rider Swap
Rider Swap is available for Na’vi River Journey, although it’s generally not necessary given the gentle nature of the ride. However, if your party includes someone who would prefer not to ride, you can still take advantage of Rider Swap by speaking to a Cast Member at the entrance. This ensures that everyone who wants to enjoy the journey can do so without a long wait.
Accessibility
Na’vi River Journey is fully accessible to guests with mobility challenges. The ride is wheelchair accessible, with a designated boat that allows for easy transfer from a wheelchair or scooter. Cast Members are available to assist with the transfer, and the loading area is designed to accommodate guests with various needs.
Height Requirement
There is no height requirement for Na’vi River Journey, making it suitable for guests of all ages.
