A bayou-inspired quick service stop serving beignets, hot honey chicken, and lavender lemonade.
Golden Oak Outpost has quietly become one of the most interesting quick service locations inside Magic Kingdom. Tucked between Frontierland and Adventureland, this small outdoor location now leans into New Orleans-inspired flavors that pair perfectly with the nearby Tiana-themed area.
If you’re looking for something beyond burgers and fries — something with a little sweet heat or Southern flair — this is where you’ll find it.
Location
Golden Oak Outpost sits along the walkway connecting Frontierland and Adventureland, not far from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Because it’s slightly off the main traffic flow, it often feels less hectic than larger quick service restaurants. It’s an easy stop if you’re:
- Touring Frontierland attractions
- Heading toward Adventureland
- Looking for a lighter meal or shareable snack
- Needing a quick breakfast inside the park
There’s no dedicated indoor seating, but nearby shaded tables in Frontierland make it manageable even during warmer months.
Ambiance
This is a rustic, open-air ordering window that blends into Frontierland’s Old West aesthetic. The theming remains subtle, but the menu clearly reflects New Orleans influences inspired by Tiana.
It feels casual and efficient — a true grab-and-go location — but the flavors are more distinctive than your typical theme park quick service stop.
There are a few outdoor, uncovered tables to the left of the building.
Menu
Golden Oak Outpost now focuses on sweet-and-savory New Orleans-inspired items that are perfect for sharing or grabbing on the go. Offerings can change, but here are the signature items you’ll typically see.
Breakfast Highlights
Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich
A savory-sweet combination featuring chicken, egg, pepper jack, and strawberry-jalapeño jam on a biscuit. It’s flavorful, slightly spicy, and far more adventurous than the standard breakfast sandwich.
Banana-Caramel Beignets
Light and fluffy beignets topped with powdered sugar, bananas, and caramel sauce. These are indulgent and perfect for sharing.
Tiana’s Famous Beignets
Classic powdered sugar beignets drizzled with honey. If you’re a fan of New Orleans flavors, this is the signature item here.
Lunch & Dinner Highlights
Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries
Chicken tossed in a hot honey sauce served alongside Cajun-spiced sweet potato fries and a New Orleans-style olive relish. It’s one of the more flavor-forward quick service entrées in this part of the park.
Sweet Potato Fries
Available as a standalone side and a great shareable snack.
Tiana’s Famous Beignets
Available throughout the day and easily the most popular item on the menu.
Specialty Beverages
Golden Oak Outpost stands out for its New Orleans-inspired specialty drinks.
Bayou Lavender Lemonade
A refreshing lemonade infused with lavender flavors, offering something noticeably different from standard park beverages.
Honey-Lavender Cold Brew
Joffrey’s Cold Brew topped with honey-lavender cold foam and a touch of sweetness. If you enjoy flavored coffee drinks, this is worth trying.
Standard fountain beverages, bottled water, juice, and milk are also available.
Mobile Order
Golden Oak Outpost participates in Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app.
For military families using Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets and trying to maximize attraction time, Mobile Order is especially helpful here. You can order while finishing an attraction nearby and pick up quickly without standing in line.
Final Thoughts
Golden Oak Outpost has evolved into one of Magic Kingdom’s most distinctive quick service stops.
Between honey butter chicken, hot honey flavors, lavender lemonade, and Tiana’s beignets, this small location delivers something refreshingly different.
If you’re walking between Frontierland and Adventureland, it’s absolutely worth a stop.
