A steampunk-inspired restaurant and nightlife venue filled with vintage industrial charm.

The Edison is one of the most visually distinctive dining locations at Disney Springs. Inspired by early 20th-century industrial power plants, the restaurant blends steampunk design, creative cocktails, and a lively atmosphere.

The Edison combines a themed restaurant, craft cocktail bar, and live entertainment venue into one experience.

Location

Disney Springs | The Landing

The Edison is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs along the waterfront.

Nearby locations:

  • Morimoto Asia
  • Wine Bar George
  • Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
  • Paddlefish

Ambiance

The restaurant is designed to resemble a 1920s industrial power plant with towering ceilings and vintage machinery décor.

  • Antique generator displays
  • Exposed brick and metal pipes
  • Industrial lighting fixtures
  • Multiple themed dining rooms

The dramatic design creates one of the most immersive restaurant environments at Disney Springs.

Live Entertainment

The Edison is known for its evening entertainment, which can include live music, DJs, aerial performers, and cabaret-style acts.

When The Edison first opened at Disney Springs, the venue featured an elaborate lineup of entertainment including aerialists, stilt walkers, contortionists, and cabaret-style performers who interacted with guests throughout the space.

While the entertainment has evolved over time, live music and performance elements remain an important part of the evening atmosphere.

The venue becomes 21 and over after 10 PM.

Menu

The menu features American comfort food with creative presentations.

  • The Edison Burger
  • Fried Chicken Sandwich
  • Electri-Fries
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Steak and seafood dishes

The Edison also offers a large selection of cocktails, beer, and wine.

Porthole Infused Cocktails

One of the most distinctive drink options at The Edison is the Porthole cocktail.

These circular glass containers resemble ship portholes and are filled with spirits, fruit, and herbs that slowly infuse together over time.

The drinks are typically designed to be shared and have become one of the most photographed beverage presentations at Disney Springs.

Patented Punch Bowls

The Edison also offers Patented Punch Bowls, large-format cocktails designed for groups to share.

These drinks are served in decorative bowls and are a popular option for celebrations or groups visiting the restaurant together.

Reservations

Advance Dining Reservations are recommended and open 60 days in advance through My Disney Experience.

Is The Edison Worth Visiting?

The Edison stands out for its unique atmosphere and evening entertainment, making it a popular choice for adults visiting Disney Springs.

History

Before The Edison brought its industrial, steampunk energy to Disney Springs, this location was home to one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved and immersive experiences: the Adventurers Club.

Originally part of Pleasure Island, the Adventurers Club opened in 1989 and quickly developed a passionate following. It wasn’t just a bar—it was an interactive, story-driven experience filled with live actors, quirky characters, and running jokes that evolved throughout the night. Guests became part of the show, with comedic performances, audience participation, and a unique sense of camaraderie that made every visit feel different.

The club was ostensibly a private “members-only” explorers society set in the 1930s, complete with themed rooms, artifacts, and its famous motto: “Kungaloosh!” It became a cult favorite among longtime Disney fans and Cast Members alike.

When Pleasure Island closed in 2008, the Adventurers Club shut its doors, leaving behind a legacy that many fans still talk about today.

Years later, the space was reimagined and reopened as The Edison in 2018, bringing a completely new concept to the location. While the theme shifted from exploration to industrial innovation, the venue continues the tradition of immersive design and live entertainment—just with a different kind of energy.
