A new Canadian-inspired poutine stop is coming to EPCOT’s World Showcase.
La Poutinerie is a new quick-service kiosk coming to EPCOT’s World Showcase, replacing the former Refreshment Port location. Hosted by Air Canada, this reimagined snack spot will focus on one of Canada’s most famous comfort foods: poutine.
If you visited Refreshment Port in recent years, you probably already know this area for fries, cheese curds, gravy, and seasonal festival variations. La Poutinerie appears to be Disney’s way of making that identity more official, more themed, and more connected to the nearby Canada Pavilion.
Location
📍Â EPCOT | World Showcase
La Poutinerie will be located near the entrance to World Showcase, on the right-hand side as you approach the Canada Pavilion. This is the same location previously occupied by Refreshment Port.
Its location makes it a very convenient first stop if you are beginning a counter-clockwise walk around World Showcase. It is also a handy place to grab a quick snack between festival booths, attraction return windows, or a stroll toward Canada and the United Kingdom.
Ambiance
La Poutinerie is expected to receive a much stronger Canada-inspired look than the former Refreshment Port. Concept art shows a redesigned exterior with new La Poutinerie signage, Air Canada sponsorship branding, Canadian-inspired details, landscaping, and decorative elements that help tie the kiosk more closely to the nearby Canada Pavilion.
Expected exterior details include:
- A small maple tree feature
- Flying Canada geese statues
- Canadian red maple leaf emblems
- Rockwork along the side columns
- Updated signage and menu boards
- Additional landscaping and decorative touches
This should be a nice upgrade for a location that previously felt more like a simple snack stand than a fully themed World Showcase dining location.
More Than Just a New Name
When Disney announced that Refreshment Port was becoming La Poutinerie, I initially wondered if it was simply a new name and sponsor. After seeing the finished location, I think it’s much more than that.
For years, Refreshment Port felt like a convenient snack kiosk that happened to serve poutine. While it became a favorite stop for many EPCOT regulars, it never really felt connected to the Canada Pavilion. Its appearance was fairly generic, and unless you already knew about the poutine, there wasn’t much to suggest it represented Canada.
La Poutinerie changes that.
The new name, Canadian-inspired architecture, Air Canada sponsorship, and focused menu all give the location a much stronger identity. Instead of trying to offer a little bit of everything, Disney has embraced what guests already associated with this location—authentic Canadian comfort food.
I think that’s a smart move. Rather than creating another generic quick-service stand, Disney has turned this into a destination that feels like a natural extension of the Canada Pavilion. It’s now a place you’ll likely visit because you want poutine, not simply because you happen to be walking by.
Menu
La Poutinerie keeps things simple by focusing on authentic Canadian comfort food. The menu is built around two poutine options, along with frozen specialty beverages, fountain drinks, and a small selection of Canadian-inspired alcoholic beverages.
While the menu is much smaller than a typical quick-service restaurant, it makes La Poutinerie an excellent stop for a hearty snack or light meal as you begin your journey around World Showcase.
Poutine
Poutine is the star of the menu, and La Poutinerie offers two distinct versions.
- Québec: L’Authentique – Classic poutine featuring French fries, cheese curds, and rich brown gravy.
- Montréal: Viande Fumée – French fries topped with cheese curds, smoked meat, pickles, and mustard gravy for a heartier take on the Canadian favorite.
The traditional Québec version is perfect if you’re trying poutine for the first time, while the Montréal version adds smoked meat and tangy pickles for a more robust flavor.
Beverages
In addition to standard soft drinks and bottled water, La Poutinerie offers a unique frozen specialty drink.
- Spiced Apple Slushy – Frozen ginger beer blended with lively lime and cozy spiced apple flavors.
- Assorted Coca-Cola® fountain beverages
- DASANI® bottled water
- smartwater®
The Spiced Apple Slushy provides a refreshing alternative to the typical frozen lemonade found elsewhere in EPCOT and pairs well with the rich flavors of the poutine.
Alcoholic Beverages
Guests looking for an adult beverage will find several Canadian-inspired options.
- Spiced Apple Mule – The signature Spiced Apple Slushy blended with Iceberg Canadian Vodka.
- Unibroue La Fin du Monde Belgian-style Tripel Ale
- Molson Canadian Lager
- Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut, Columbia Valley
- Jackson-Triggs Reserve Red Blend
The inclusion of Molson Canadian Lager and Iceberg Canadian Vodka helps reinforce the kiosk’s Canadian theme, while the specialty mule serves as the location’s signature alcoholic beverage.
Poutine
La Poutinerie is expected to serve Canadian-inspired poutine, possibly including both traditional and specialty versions.
Possible offerings may include:
- Classic poutine with fries, cheese curds, and gravy
- Seasonal poutine variations
- Festival-inspired toppings
- Loaded poutine options with meats, sauces, or specialty garnishes
Until Disney releases the official menu, consider these expectations rather than confirmed items.
Drinks and Other Items
Disney has not announced whether La Poutinerie will continue offering soft-serve ice cream, fountain drinks, bottled beverages, or alcoholic options as Refreshment Port did previously.
Once the official menu is released, I’ll update this section with full details.
Festival Offerings
Refreshment Port was often used as a festival food location during EPCOT’s seasonal events, including:
- EPCOT International Festival of the Arts
- EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
- EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
- EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
It is not yet clear whether La Poutinerie will continue this role, but it would not be surprising to see specialty poutine dishes appear during EPCOT’s festivals.
Mobile Order
Mobile Order has not been announced for La Poutinerie.
The previous Refreshment Port location was walk-up only, and La Poutinerie is expected to operate as a quick-service kiosk. I’ll update this section if Disney adds Mobile Order.
Reservations
La Poutinerie will not require reservations. This is expected to be a walk-up quick-service snack location.
Military Disney Tips
La Poutinerie should be a good stop for military families who want a quick, shareable snack without committing to a full table-service meal.
Because it is located near the front of World Showcase, it may work especially well if you are:
- Starting your World Showcase loop near Canada
- Looking for a quick bite before a dining reservation later in the day
- Trying to stretch your food budget with a shareable snack
- Taking a break between Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass return windows
- Visiting during one of EPCOT’s festivals
Poutine is usually hearty, filling, and easy to split, which can make it a practical snack stop for families touring EPCOT.
Wrap-Up
La Poutinerie is one of those EPCOT changes that improves the park without completely reinventing it. Disney recognized what guests already loved about Refreshment Port—its poutine—and built an entire identity around it. The result is a snack location that feels more authentic, more thematic, and more at home in World Showcase.
