Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes place about a year after the events of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog.”
Here, you’ll see firsthand where Princess Tiana’s life has taken her following the success of Tiana’s Palace, a restaurant she had dreamed up and worked hard to make a reality.

Dreams Do Come True in the Queue
From the minute you step into the attraction queue, the story begins!

In the queue, you discover that Tiana has expanded her business with Tiana’s Foods. She’s combined her talents with those of the local community to transform an aging salt mine and has built a beloved brand of original hot sauces, seasonings, and other food products.
The Wait
When you enter the garden area at the start of the queue, you’ll be treated to a broadcast of performances by New Orleans musical acts. The radio host shares that Tiana is hosting a celebration this very night, and everyone is invited!

He also mentions that Tiana needs your help with a very important task. There’s been a mix-up with the party preparations between Prince Naveen and Louis — nobody booked a band! Because it’s Mardi Gras season, a last-minute search for a band is proving tricky. So, Tiana needs help finding musicians for tonight’s party!
The Ride

You’re going to join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou to help find the essential missing ingredient to a successful Mardi Gras celebration: good New Orleans music! After all, Louis is from the bayou, and he’s one of the best musicians around.
In the bayou, you see familiar faces and make new friends in the next chapter of Tiana’s story – including musical critters playing tunes from “The Princess and the Frog” in the styles of Zydeco, Rara, and Afro-Cuban music.
With the help of Mama Odie’s magic, you dig a little deeper into the bayou as she shrinks you down to an itty-bitty size for a new perspective to search for bayou musicians. And when the talent search concludes, it’s Mama Odie who makes you big again and gets you to the joyful Mardi Gras season celebration at the home of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen.

Advanced Audio-Animatronics Figures
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure features some of Disney’s most advanced Audio-Animatronics figures, and with this new, advanced technology it makes you feel like you’re really interacting with them in the attraction.
The Ride Vehicle
Riders sit 2 by 2 in a log flume boat that floats in the water. It is pulled uphill in the same manner as a roller-coaster car and then free floats through the ride. Due to the splash at the end of the ride, the seats may have puddles of water in them so you may get wet as soon as you sit down!
As mentioned these are the same old boats from Splash Mountain. And the rubberized hand grips always had a moldy musty smell to them. You’ll want some hand gel or to wash your hands right after riding!
Lightning Lane Multi Pass
You can experience this ride by using the standard standby line or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure also offers Lightning Lane Single Pass.
Note: the standby line will not be offered until 27 February 2025, prior to that the only way to ride is via Lightning Lane Single Pass or a Virtual Queue reservation!
Height Requirement
Guests must be at least 40 inches tall to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Rider Swap
Rider Swap is available for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Simply speak with a Cast Member at the entrance, and they’ll assist in setting it up so everyone in your party who meets the height requirement can enjoy this exciting journey through Tiana’s world.
Accessibility
Guests using wheelchairs or ECVs must transfer to the ride vehicle to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The queue is accessible, and Cast Members are available to provide assistance with boarding if needed.

Tiana’s is the biggest disappointment in upgrades….ever. A little paint and a few different costumes but it is still splash mountain beginning to end. However, A) It breaks constantly! We got VQ group 60. Should have been on by 11 the way it was going. Nope. 6 PM because it broke over and over. Finally get in the line. It broke. We waited. Got on. IT shut down 3x but at least we made it off. The people behind us were walked off. It shut down every day we were in MK. B) the redo? Please, they changed the costumes on a few animatronics, took out a ton of others, And, again, most of them were NOT working. You can actually see where Brer Bear used to be in the log, just now it is a gator! The sound is atrocious so you have no idea what is going on. We talked to a few people who had ridden it before, they said this was standard. 18 month closure and this is what you get.
