Step into the fifth dimension and experience the thrills of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!
From the moment you approach the ominous facade of the Hollywood Tower Hotel, you know you’re in for something special.

The Queue
The queue begins in the eerie, overgrown gardens of the hotel, with haunting music playing faintly in the background, setting a mysterious tone.
As you wind your way through the grounds and into the hotel lobby, the dust-covered furniture, cobwebs, and dim lighting make it clear that this once-luxurious establishment has been abandoned for decades.
The lobby is filled with vintage artifacts frozen in time, as if the guests and staff vanished suddenly, leaving everything behind. The queue continues through the hotel’s library, where you’ll catch an episode of The Twilight Zone introducing you to the tragic story of the hotel. The atmosphere is thick with suspense and eerie details that keep you on edge as you prepare for what’s to come. While the line can be long, the incredible theming and storytelling make it feel like you’re already deep into the experience before the ride even begins.
The Ride
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is a drop tower dark ride that takes you on a spine-tingling journey through the haunted halls of the Hollywood Tower Hotel. After the library, you’ll step into the service elevator, which serves as your ride vehicle.
Once inside, the elevator ascends through the haunted hotel, where you’ll encounter ghostly apparitions, strange sights, and the eerie ambiance of the Twilight Zone.
But the real thrill comes when the elevator suddenly drops, sending you plummeting down the hotel’s abandoned shaft.
The ride’s randomized drop sequences ensure that no two experiences are the same—one moment you’re plummeting down, the next you’re shooting back up, only to drop again.
The combination of atmospheric storytelling, unexpected twists, and thrilling drops makes this ride a must-do for thrill-seekers and fans of the supernatural alike.
As with all modern Disney attractions, Tower of Terror’s exit lets out into a themed merchandise shop.
Once you exit the shop you will see a Joffrey’s cart that has the shortest lines of any Joffrey’s location in the parks in the morning! You can also get to this card by passing by the Tower od Terror entrance and walking to the rear of the building.
The Ride Vehicle
The ride vehicle is an old-fashioned service elevator, designed to carry you and your fellow guests through the mysterious world of the Twilight Zone. Each elevator car seats 21 people in rows, with seat belts securing each rider.
The seating is bench-style, and while the ride involves sudden drops and rises, the seats are designed to keep everyone secure and comfortable throughout the intense experience. Boarding is straightforward, with wide doors that open to let guests in and out easily. However, the experience inside is anything but ordinary, with special effects and sudden movements that create the sensation of being pulled into another dimension.
Rider Swap
Rider Swap is available at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, making it convenient for families or groups with members who might not be up for the intense drops. Just inform a Cast Member at the entrance, and they’ll assist you with the Rider Swap process, allowing those who wish to ride to do so without a long wait.
Accessibility
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is accessible to guests with mobility challenges, though it requires a transfer from a wheelchair or scooter to the ride vehicle. The loading process is well-managed by Cast Members, who are there to assist with any transfers and ensure that guests are comfortable and secure. Due to the nature of the ride, guests must be aware of the intense drops and movements involved.
Height Requirement
Riders must be at least 40 inches tall to brave the terrors of the Hollywood Tower Hotel.
