An outpost for unique galactic snacks in Batuu’s bustling marketplace.
Location
📍Hollywood Studios | Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Kat Saka’s Kettle is located in the heart of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You’ll find it nestled inside the Black Spire Outpost marketplace, just a few steps from Ronto Roasters and across from the stalls selling plush creatures and galactic gear.
The marketplace itself is dimly lit and immersive, filled with the hum of activity and the occasional chatter in alien languages. It’s one of the most atmospheric corners of Batuu—and Kat Saka’s Kettle fits right in.
Ambiance
The stand is themed as a walk-up food stall operated by a local Batuuan merchant. Like the other stalls in this area, Kat Saka’s Kettle blends in with the weathered, dusty market design. You’ll see exposed piping, barrels of roasted grains, and hints of alien cooking equipment.
It’s not flashy, but it’s full of character.
This is an outdoor space with no seating directly at the stand. If you’re lucky, you might find a bench or a spot over at nearby Ronto Roasters, but this is definitely a grab-and-go experience. That makes it ideal for a quick snack as you continue your galactic adventures.
Menu
The star of the show here (for most people) is the Outpost Popcorn Mix—a colorful, crunchy blend of sweet and spicy kettle corn. It’s unlike any popcorn you’ve had before, combining flavors like chili lime and fruit punch in a purple and red swirl. It’s weird, it’s fun, and it’s very on-brand for Batuu.
In addition to the signature mix, Kat Saka’s Kettle sometimes offers seasonal or rotating flavors, especially during special events or limited-time promotions.
You’ll also find a selection of bottled drinks served in the exclusive Star Wars Coca-Cola thermal detonator bottles—Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite—all themed to fit in with the outpost’s otherworldly setting.
But for me, here’s the real gem: the Cold Brew Black Caf. This galactic twist on cold brew coffee is rich and delicious, with two options:
- Standard Cold Brew Black Caf (topped with sweet cream cheese cold foam with cocoa puffs)
- Spiked Cold Brew Black Caf, same as above, but with Godiva chocolate liqueur (yes, really!)
💡 I highly recommend it—it’s one of my favorite drinks in all of Galaxy’s Edge.
Mobile Order
Good news: Mobile Order is available at Kat Saka’s Kettle!
This makes it much easier to grab your Outpost Mix or Cold Brew without waiting in line. Since the area can get tight and crowded, especially midday, I suggest placing a Mobile Order earlier in the day and picking it up between rides or while exploring the marketplace.
Like most of Galaxy’s Edge, crowds spike between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., so aim for mornings or late afternoons if you want a quieter experience.
Military Tips
Kat Saka’s Kettle is a great little stop for military families who want a quick, immersive snack during a busy Star Wars day.
- The Outpost Mix is fun to share with kids.
- Try to arrive in Galaxy’s Edge early in the morning, especially if you’re using Armed Forces Salute Park Hopper tickets and want to beat the crowds. This is also when the popcorn is at its freshest.
- Pair your stop at Kat Saka’s Kettle for a Black Caf with a visit to Ronto Roasters for the popular breakfast wrap—makes for a filling combo.
If you’re using your Park Hopper wisely, Galaxy’s Edge is best experienced early in the day, when the immersive sights and sounds are easier to soak in without shoulder-to-shoulder crowds.
Wrap-Up
If you’re an adventurous snacker or just want something fun to share, Kat Saka’s Kettle is absolutely worth a stop. The popcorn is strange in the best way, the drinks are standout, and the theming is pure Star Wars.
Also, a quick reminder to stay hydrated while exploring Batuu. This stand’s cold beverages are a convenient way to cool off, and that Cold Brew Black Caf might just become your new favorite Disney drink.
