A villainous stage spectacular that turns the happily ever after story upside down.
Location
Hollywood Studios | Sunset Boulevard
This new show is tucked away at the end of Sunset Boulevard, in the Sunset Showcase, the same indoor venue that once housed Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. You’ll find it just past Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, in a hidden corner many guests used to overlook. With its bold new theme and villainous flair, this area is now drawing more attention than ever, so don’t miss it!
The Queue
The queue for Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is mostly outdoors and wraps around the outside of the building. Shade is limited, so plan accordingly with sun protection, especially midday. While there’s no interactive preshow, Cast Members often keep the energy up while you wait. Since the theater is sizable, there’s usually plenty of seating, but we still recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early if you are visiting during busy times.
The Show
Step into the darkness (literally!) as this indoor stage show immerses you in a world where the villains take center stage. In this immersive production, the Magic Mirror has summoned guests to help determine which Disney Villain has been treated most unfairly.Â
In Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, the baddies are tired of getting the short end of the storybook. From Maleficent to Ursula, Cruella de Vil, and more, each villain gets their moment to shine in a high-energy mix of song, dance, and devilishly clever storytelling.
As the story unfolds, dozens of infamous villains fight for their moment in the spotlight, leading to a delightfully wicked finale where the audience gets to make the final decision and answer the question, “Who’s been treated the unfairest of them all?”Â
The show features dazzling lighting effects, bold musical numbers, projections, and even some surprise pyrotechnics—all perfectly choreographed in the comfort of an air-conditioned theater. At around 25 minutes long, it’s a great break from the heat while still delivering plenty of Disney magic (and mayhem).
Seating and Theater
This is a fully indoor theater with air conditioning, making it a popular escape on hot Florida days. Guests sit in traditional theater-style seating with backrests and clear views of the stage.
There are designated areas for wheelchairs and ECVs, including companion seating. Audio and visual effects are immersive but not overwhelming, and the sound quality in the space is excellent. For the best experience, aim for seats near the center of the theater.
Rider Swap
This attraction does not offer Rider Swap, as it’s a seated stage show.
Accessibility
- Wheelchair and ECV accessible
- Assistive listening devices available
- Sign Language interpretation on select days (check with Guest Relations or Disney’s official site)
- Theater is dark during the show and includes loud sound effects and occasional bursts of light and smoke
- Indoor venue provides comfortable seating and climate control
Height Requirement
There is no height requirement for this show. It’s suitable for guests of all ages.
Single Rider Line
This attraction does not offer a Single Rider Line, as it is a stage show rather than a ride.
Replacing Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy
Fans of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will recognize the venue, but the vibe has completely changed. The racing action has been swapped for flames, fog, and fabulous villain moments. This theatrical makeover brings a whole new level of energy (and trouble) to Sunset Boulevard. It’s a must-see for anyone who’s ever rooted for the bad guys.
