The Queue
As you enter the queue for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, you’ll find yourself in the heart of Hollywood, outside G-Force Records, where the iconic rock band Aerosmith is recording their latest hit. The queue takes you through the studio’s lobby, filled with gold records, rock memorabilia, and even some hidden tributes to Disney history.
You’ll catch a glimpse of the band through a window as they wrap up their session, and before you know it, you’re invited to join them on an epic race across town to their concert.
The atmosphere is electric, with classic rock tunes playing in the background and the anticipation building as you approach the ride. While the queue can get crowded, the indoor setting offers a break from the Florida sun, and the theming keeps the energy high.
The Ride
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a high-speed indoor roller coaster that launches you from 0 to 57 mph in just 2.8 seconds, sending you straight into the heart of Los Angeles at night. With Aerosmith blasting in your ears, you’ll race through the city’s neon-lit streets, darting between traffic, and diving through tunnels, all in the dark.
The ride features multiple inversions, including a corkscrew and a loop, making it one of the most thrilling attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The combination of speed, music, and special effects creates an exhilarating experience that leaves you breathless and ready for an encore.
As with most “newer Disney attractions, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s exit leads into a themed gift shop.
The Ride Vehicle
The ride vehicle is designed to resemble a super-stretch limo, seating 24 guests in rows of two. Each seat is equipped with an over-the-shoulder harness, ensuring a secure fit as you speed through the twists and turns. The seating is comfortable, though the snug harnesses are necessary for the intense maneuvers the coaster performs. Boarding and exiting the vehicle is quick and straightforward, though the fast-paced nature of the ride means that you should be prepared for a wild ride once you’re strapped in. The limo design, complete with sleek lines and a rock-and-roll vibe, adds to the overall cool factor of the experience.
Single Rider
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster includes a Single Rider Line, perfect for guests who want to fast-track their backstage pass by filling in available seats. Solo riders join other parties for an exciting, high-speed limo ride to the concert.
Rider Swap
Rider Swap is available at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, making it easy for groups with younger children or those not keen on high-speed thrills to take turns riding. Simply let a Cast Member know at the entrance, and they’ll arrange for your party to swap without having to wait in line twice. It’s a great way to ensure that everyone who wants to ride can do so without splitting up the group for too long.
Accessibility
Guests with mobility issues can access Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, though a transfer from a wheelchair or scooter to the ride vehicle is required. The loading area is designed to assist with this transfer, and Cast Members are available to help make the process as smooth as possible. Given the intense nature of the ride, it’s important for guests to be comfortable with the transfer process and the secure fit of the harness before riding.
Height Requirement
Riders must be at least 48 inches tall to rock out on this high-speed adventure.
