Tucked into Africa’s Harambe Village, Kusafiri serves up coffee, pastries, and hearty snacks worth the stop.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is full of incredible food options, from iconic snacks to full meals with adventurous flavors. But one of its best hidden gems is the Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery, a small walk-up location in Harambe Village. Known for both its pastries and its hearty hand pies, Kusafiri is the perfect place to grab breakfast, a mid-day pick-me-up, or even a light lunch.

You’ll find Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom, right in the heart of Harambe Village. It’s located close to Tusker House Restaurant and not far from the entrance to Kilimanjaro Safaris, making it a convenient stop as you explore this part of the park. The counter blends seamlessly into the richly detailed village setting, so keep an eye out for the colorful signs to spot it.

Ambiance

Kusafiri is a walk-up window rather than a sit-down restaurant, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm. Themed like an authentic Harambe marketplace stop, it features African-inspired details, bright paint, and cultural signage that give it a lived-in feel.

There’s no seating, but there are some high-tops without chairs next to the window, and just to the left, a shaded area, with more tables, that make it easy to enjoy your snack while soaking in the atmosphere of Harambe Village.

Menu

Despite its small size, Kusafiri has a surprisingly diverse menu:

• Savory pastries: Hand pies are the star here, including options like beef & lamb pie or a vegetarian spinach & paneer turnover.
• Breakfast offerings: Croissants, muffins, and other pastries pair perfectly with a morning coffee before your first safari.
• Sweet treats: Cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and rotating seasonal baked goods for guests with a sweet tooth.

Mobile Order

Kusafiri does not currently offer Mobile Order, so you’ll need to order at the window. In the mornings, lines are usually short, but they can build up around lunch when more guests are looking for a quick bite.

Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery has been part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom since the park opened in 1998, originally focusing mainly on coffee and pastries.
