Welcome to Radiator Springs, where the Disney•Pixar Cars films roar to life! This immersive land puts you right in the middle of Route 66 with neon signs, mountain backdrops, and familiar faces like Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Luigi.
Cars Land is widely regarded as one of Disney’s most successful examples of storytelling through design—an exact, life-sized recreation of the town you saw on screen.
Attractions
- Radiator Springs Racers (H40) (LL Single) – The crown jewel of Cars Land and one of the best attractions Disney has ever built. Board a six-passenger car and cruise through Radiator Springs, meeting its residents along the way before lining up for a side-by-side race to the finish. Each race plays out differently, making every ride unique.
- Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters – Join Luigi and his cousins as they “dance” to Italian music in this trackless car attraction. Each car has its own personality and set of dance moves, creating a fun, family-friendly experience that’s never quite the same twice.
- Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree – Mater hosts a square dance using tractor-pulled trailers that whip you around to his country-style tunes. It’s good, silly fun that keeps the laughter going all day long.
At night, Cars Land glows with neon lights and 1950s charm—a must-see transformation that makes evening rides feel extra special.
Dining
- Flo’s V8 Café (B, L, D, $$) – Counter Service – Mobile Order. A retro diner featuring comfort food like rotisserie chicken, ribs, burgers, and Flo’s famous Coca-Cola BBQ sauce. Dine inside among car-themed décor or grab an outdoor seat overlooking Radiator Springs Racers.
- Cozy Cone Motel (B, L, D, $) – Counter Service. Each cone-shaped stand offers a different treat: popcorn, soft-serve ice cream, pretzel bites, churro bites, and savory “cone” meals like chili cone queso or bacon mac & cheese served in edible bread cones.
- Fillmore’s Taste-In (S, $) – Counter Service. A colorful organic snack stand offering fruit, juices, and bottled beverages.
Shopping
- Sarge’s Surplus Hut – Stock up on “carburetor country” gear, Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater toys, kids’ apparel, and accessories.
- Ramone’s House of Body Art – Automotive-inspired clothing and art prints with a slick, stylish twist.
- Radiator Springs Curios – Road-trip souvenirs, magnets, pins, and other nostalgic keepsakes inspired by Route 66.
Ambiance & History
Cars Land opened in 2012 as part of Disney California Adventure’s massive reimagining that reshaped the park’s identity. Car’s Land’s towering Cadillac Range mountains and neon main street immerse guests in a 1950s Americana fantasy — a perfect blend of Pixar storytelling and Disney Imagineering.
Cars Land transformed the space into an entirely new level of immersion, anchored by the towering Cadillac Range mountains and Radiator Springs’ neon main street. The land captures the charm of 1950s Americana, with details like mailbox names matching film characters, authentic Route 66 signs, and perfectly timed lighting cues when the neon flickers on at dusk—just like in the movie. From its background music to its period-perfect diners, everything here celebrates the open road and the heart of Pixar’s storytelling.
Disney California Adventure Layout
Cars Land is located on the park’s “left” side as you travel along the main walkway beyond Carthay Circle, in the cluster of western lands that includes Avengers Campus, San Fransokyo Square, and Pixar Pier.
Cars Land is connected to:
- Avengers Campus (multiple entry points along this side of the park)
- Performance Corridor via the main walkway leading back toward Carthay Circle
- San Fransokyo Square as you continue toward the waterfront lands
Wrap-Up
Cars Land is pure Disney magic—a place where storytelling, technology, and nostalgia collide. Whether you’re racing toward victory on Radiator Springs Racers, grabbing a milkshake at Flo’s, or strolling through the neon glow at dusk, you’ll understand why this land remains one of the most beloved in any Disney park. It’s a must-see for fans of Pixar, families, and anyone who loves that open-road feeling.
