Before Creations Shop opened in September 2021, it was Mouse Gear, a fan-favorite that operated for more than two decades. Mouse Gear had a quirkier, more whimsical design with bold colors and gear-inspired theming that many longtime EPCOT fans remember fondly.
When EPCOT began its multi-year transformation, Disney closed Mouse Gear in early 2020 and reimagined the space into the brighter, sleeker Creations Shop. This update aligns with EPCOT’s new vision of blending innovation with Disney storytelling while still serving as the park’s retail hub.
