Disney World announced a new discount for Disney+ Subscribers today.
5 April 2022 – Just this morning Disney World offered a summer through fall discount to Disney+ subscribers, doing so even before discounting that timeframe for WDW Annual Passholders as is their standard practice.

This is quite frankly a slap in the face to passholders, who have always been given this premier spot of first discount for a given timeframe.
It’s not news that Disney CEO Bob Chapek has placed Disney very negatively in the news as of late.
One can only think that there are far more Disney+ subscribers than Disney World Passholders and that Disney is hoping to offset any real or perceived backlash against their political advocacy.
The discount period for this offer is 8 July through 30 September 2022 and offers 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% off of standard room rates based upon room category.
This discount picks up on the day after current passholder and general public discounts end. Disney discounts in blocks of time, usually the beginning of the year, spring, summer, and fall, each period being released sequentially through the year and usually in an order of prestige i.e. passholder, DVC, Disney Visa, and then finally general public (with decreasing discount percentages for each category).
I expect to see the corresponding passholder discount come out soon. I only wonder if it will top out at 30% rather than 25% (passholders usually get the best discounts aside from the Military Salute)
You can see full details about this discount on my Disney General Public Discount Page.

Be aware that Disney World’s phones have a LONG wait time already today and website is controlling volume with a waiting area prior to letting you in.
