Step into the zany, colorful world where Mickey Mouse and friends live, work, and play! Mickey’s Toontown is a vibrant cartoon neighborhood bursting with energy, imagination, and laughter.

After an extensive reimagining in 2023, the land has become more interactive, inclusive, and comfortable for families—complete with new green spaces, sensory-friendly play areas, and modernized attractions that stay true to Disney’s animated roots.

Attractions

  • Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway (LL Multi) – Step inside the wacky world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon! Join Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and friends on a zippy, trackless adventure through a cartoon landscape filled with surprising twists, singing flowers, and runaway fun. This high-tech attraction made its Disneyland debut in 2023, inside the beautifully themed El CapiTOON Theater.
  • Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster (H35) – A fun-sized roller coaster perfect for younger guests, designed by Gadget Hackwrench herself. Zips through whimsical turns and tiny tunnels in a setting packed with clever contraptions.
  • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin (LL Multi) – Spin through the streets of Toontown in your very own taxi cab as you try to rescue Jessica Rabbit from the villainous Weasels. With wild animation and a self-controlled spin feature, this dark ride remains a fan favorite.
  • Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard – A reimagined interactive play area filled with fun surprises, soft surfaces, and Goofy’s signature silliness. Perfect for little ones to burn off energy safely.
  • Donald’s Duck Pond – A shaded water play zone featuring bubbling fountains, mist effects, and interactive elements themed to Donald’s boat, the Miss Daisy.
  • CenTOONial Park – A new central gathering area featuring open lawns, shaded seating, and the “Dreaming Tree”—inspired by Walt Disney’s childhood imagination spot in Marceline, Missouri.

Mickey’s House

Dining

  • Café Daisy (L, D, $) – Counter Service – Mobile Order. A fun, outdoor eatery run by Daisy Duck herself, serving flatbread pizzas, wraps, and refreshing beverages. The garden seating area provides a relaxing spot for families.
  • Good Boy! Grocers (S, $) – Grab-and-go snacks, fresh fruit, and bottled drinks served from a colorful roadside stand operated by Pluto.
  • Toon Popcorn Cart (S, $) – Freshly popped popcorn, pretzels, and bottled beverages near the entrance to the land.

Shopping

  • EngineEar Souvenirs – The primary gift shop for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, featuring exclusive attraction merchandise, Mickey-themed apparel, and collectibles inspired by classic cartoons.
  • Mickey’s Toontown Five & Dime – Playful Disney character merchandise, toys, and apparel for the whole family.
  • Gag Factory – Toontown Five & Dime (expected to reopen soon) – Currently under refurbishment, this shop will continue to sell zany toys and themed accessories once reopened.

Ambiance & History

Mickey’s Toontown originally opened in 1993, giving guests the chance to step into a living cartoon. Inspired by Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the golden age of Disney animation, the land recreated the exaggerated shapes, bold colors, and humor of classic cartoons.

In 2023, the land underwent a major reimagining to improve accessibility, shade, and interactivity for today’s families. Many areas were redesigned to encourage play, relaxation, and sensory balance, with a focus on inclusive design. The new Toontown features lush lawns, softer surfaces, and more seating—perfect for parents with little ones.

Inside Mickey’s House

Guests can also visit the homes of beloved characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck, each filled with delightful props and interactive gags that bring their personalities to life.

With its cartoon skyline, bouncing sound effects, and the distant whistle of Goofy’s train, Toontown is pure animated joy—a perfect finale to a day of Disneyland fun.

Disneyland Park Layout

Mickey’s Toontown is located beyond Fantasyland, across the Disneyland Railroad tracks. It’s intentionally tucked away from the main hub areas, and most guests access it through the tunnel entrance from Fantasyland.

Mickey’s Toontown is connected to:

  • Fantasyland via the main tunnel entrance

Wrap-Up

Whether you’re exploring Mickey’s house, cooling off in Donald’s pond, or riding a runaway cartoon train, Mickey’s Toontown delivers laughter and heart for guests of all ages. Its redesigned spaces make it a must-visit for families seeking both energy and relaxation—a land that truly feels like home for Disney’s most famous residents.
