Starting Saturday February 12th, Universal Orlando will no longer require Face Masks.
Today 11 February Universal sent out this notice:
We are updating our policy for face coverings based on local trends and conditions. Fully vaccinated guests will no longer be required to wear face coverings indoors or outdoors effective, Saturday, February 12. Guests who have not been vaccinated will be encouraged to wear face coverings while indoors.“
This is Based on the recent reduction of Omicron cases and the recent CDC revelation the cloth masks do almost nothing to prevent the  spread of viruses.
A Return to Normal
This brings Universal back to normal operations. During the entire roughly one and a half years since reopening, Universal has returned to more normal operations well ahead of Disney. With no theme park reservations, normal park capacities, and dropping social distancing and outdoor/indoor mask requirements as soon as possible.
Let’s hope that Disney World follows suit very quickly dropping face mask requirements and then trashing the awful themem park reservation system.
I’m just sorry that Universal did not drop masks indoors before my trip last week!
