Escape From Gringotts – Escape from Gringotts, a thrilling attraction within Diagon Alley at Universal Studios, is a roller coaster meet 3D simulation ride that plunges you right into the heart of the wizarding world. Based on the thrilling events of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” this ride is an essential experience not only for a true Potterhead, but also a thrill seeker!
As you venture into Gringotts Wizarding Bank, the intricate queue line itself is a captivating journey. The grand banking hall welcomes you with glistening chandeliers and goblins hard at work, scrutinizing your passage. You’ll feel like a true wizarding patron, as you wind your way deeper into the heart of the bank, exploring the depths of its vaults and secrets. But please, resist the urge to Imperio the goblins…
Once aboard, you’re taken on a heart-pounding escape mission with Harry, Ron, and Hermione to retrieve a Horcrux from Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault. The ride combines elements of a roller coaster and a 3D simulation, immersing you in a whirlwind adventure through the dark and treacherous vaults of Gringotts. The breathtaking special effects, dramatic storytelling, and stunning set pieces make you feel as though you’ve truly stepped into the pages of J.K. Rowling’s epic tale. For Potterheads and thrill-seekers alike, this attraction is not to be missed. The ride is suitable for witches and wizards who are at least 42 inches tall, ensuring that even younger magical folk can join in the escapade.
Child Swap Area. Too small to right? Too scared to ride? No problem. Universal not only offers the child swap system famous at many theme parks so everyone can enjoy their perfect day, but it goes one step further by offering themed rooms to wait!
The Family Room for the Escape From Gringotts attraction is themed to match the ride and queue and even plays the scenes from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I that are featured in the attraction!

Of course you noticed the dragon by now! The Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon perched menacingly atop Gringotts Wizarding Bank is an iconic symbol of Diagon Alley. Towering above the cobblestone streets, she’s an impressive and imposing sight to behold, with her leathery wings outstretched and fiery eyes aglow. This magnificent creature is an excellent photo opportunity for any witch, wizard, or Muggle who wishes to capture a piece of the magic. You can hear her get ready to belt out flames so large that you can actually feel the heat on the ground!
Here’s a HUGE tip: She fires off every 10 minutes on the 10 – 12:10, 12:20, 12:30, etc.

Leaky Cauldron – The Leaky Cauldron, that’s in London. Take it away, Ernie! #IYKYK. Ollivanders – This iconic wand shop is a must-visit for any witch or wizard. Here, you can witness the magic of wand pairing as a knowledgeable wandkeeper helps you discover the wand that chooses you. Or you can just walk into the shop and explore and pick yourself! The shelves are filled with a variety of wands, including character wands that allow you to cast spells throughout the park.
Harry Potters Wizarding World: All About the Magic Wands
Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes – Run by Fred and George Weasley, (well, really just George these days…#IYKYK), this shop is a riot of color and humor. You’ll find a plethora of magical pranks, joke items, and novelty products. Don’t miss the Skiving Snackboxes, Extendable Ears, and Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder.
If you’re part of the “I hate Dolores Umbridge Club” be sure to look up as you enter!
Borgin and Burkes – While not technically in Diagon Alley (it’s part of Knockturn Alley, which is connected, and still in the Universal Studios side of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter), this dark and mysterious shop offers a range of rare and sinister magical items. Explore the eerie atmosphere and discover items like Vanishing Cabinets and Hand of Glory.
This is your magical shop for all things dark magic and death eaters. There is just something so naughty and fun about rooting for the bad guy!
Magical Menagerie – This delightful shop is home to a variety of plush magical creatures, from Hippogriffs to Pygmy Puffs. It’s the perfect place to find a cuddly companion to take home. In the books this was the shop where the wizards would adopt their magical pets, so it’s adorable that this was made the cuddly, stuffy shop!
Quality Quidditch Supplies – Quidditch enthusiasts will be in heaven here. Find everything you need for the wizarding world’s favorite sport, from brooms and Quaffles to team jerseys and accessories. You can even purchase a custom quidditch jersey for your position on the quidditch field in your house colors and have your name embroidered on the back!
This shop also features the most Hogwarts house items like scarves, mugs, hats, sweatshirts, etc. If you are looking to represent your Hogwarts house, then Quality Quidditch supplies is the place to go!
FUN FACT: Look up at the left hand side on the store towards the back and you will see the Tri-Wizard cup! We wonder if it’s still a port key… Hmmmm.
Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions – Need a wizarding robe for your next special event or a new set of house robes? In the books, Madam Malkin’s is the place to go. In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal, Madam Malkin’s is your home for the iconic Hogwarts robes!
Don’t forget to spend a second by the floor length mirror. She will let you know exactly how your cosplay outfit looks on you!
Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment – This shop is a treasure trove of magical gadgets and supplies. From time-turners to crystal balls and telescopes, you’ll find a wide array of mystical tools and items. For you muggles, this would also be the shop to get tchotchke like key chains.
Scribbulus – If you’re looking for magical stationery, Scribbulus is the place. Find quills, ink, parchment, and other writing supplies, perfect for composing your own magical scrolls. You can even find text book replicas that are actually notebooks for your collection!
And since Harry Potter was first brought to our hearts in books, it’s only appropriate that this shop also features a collection of different fancy bookmarks.

Hogwarts Express
The Hogwarts Express is an attraction at the Universal Orlando Resort that allows visitors to experience a magical journey from London’s King’s Cross Station at Universal Studios Florida to Hogsmeade Station, located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. You can also ride the Express in the opposite direction.
The Hogwarts Express allows visitors to experience the journey that Harry and his friends took to get to Hogwarts and get between the two sections of the Wizarding World seamlessly without walking all through both parks.
