A shared riverside stop in Asia serving cold drinks and quick snacks right next to Expedition Everest.
When the Florida heat starts creeping up while you’re exploring Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks is one of those quietly perfect pit stops. Located in the Asia section right next to Expedition Everest, this small shared location combines a walk-up bar with a neighboring snack window, giving guests easy access to cold drinks and quick bites in one convenient stop.
Location
Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks are located together in a small shared building in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, right next to Expedition Everest along the main pathway through the land.
The building has walk-up service windows on each side of the building. On both sides, the bar windows are closest to the walkway, and the snack windows are furthest away.
Pro Tip: The windows facing the path to Africa (opposite Mount Everest) receive the most customers, as those entering Asia from Africa naturally wind up here. Often, the windows on the far side, facing Mount Everest, have shorter lines!
Nearby standing tables and the theatre seating around the lake make it a convenient place to pause before braving Everest. On the Everest side, there are occasionally 2, count them 2, bar stools! These tend to come and go…
Ambiance
The bar and snack window blend seamlessly into the lush, weathered aesthetic of Asia, with stone textures, wood beams, and surrounding greenery creating a relaxed, riverside feel. Overhead fans and nearby shade help keep things comfortable even on hot afternoons.

Thirsty River Bar focuses primarily on refreshing alcoholic beverages along with simple non-alcoholic options.

Food Menu (Trek Snacks)
Trek Snacks provides simple grab-and-go snack options that pair well with beverages from the neighboring bar window.
Typical offerings may include:

This is not a full food location, but it’s useful when you need a quick bite without leaving the Asia area.
