Located in Liberty Square is The Hall of Presidents where Disney combines education and entertainment in a stage show of animatronics portraying all 45 U.S. Presidents to teach about our nation’s history.
The show runs for approximately 20 minutes all day and is perfect for history buffs or those who need a blessed break from the heat. The Hall of Presidents is also a must do for homeschooling families or those who missed school for a Disney vacation. (We won’t tell!)
Background
This attraction was inspired by the exhibition at the 1964-1965 World’s Fair called Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Walt Disney loved to push the envelope of technology and teach the masses about the beautiful and not-so-beautiful history of America.

The Hall of Presidents was an opening day attraction that featured the current president, Richard Nixon. After each election, Disney’s Imagineers create a new animatronic to match the current U.S. President. This process takes roughly one year.
Museum in Disney
The lobby to The Hall of Presidents is where the real history is. Right as soon as you walk in you will notice a large Presidential Seal on the carpet. This is one of only 2 in the entire country, the second one being in the Oval Office at the White House.
Walt Disney World had to receive approval from Congress to use the seal in the park!
While you are waiting for the next show to begin, walk around the outside of the lobby to see real artifacts from past U.S. Presidents! You can see items like the hat and saddle of Theodore Roosevelt, a fancy inkwell belonging to James K. Polk, and shoe buckles belonging to George Washington.
PRO-TIP: You can just walk into the museum/lobby to look around and enjoy the air-conditioning. You don’t have to stay for the show!
The Show
Hall of Presidents Stage
A film titled The Idea of a President is presented. It depicts a historical account of several American presidencies, notably George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.
Afterwards audio animatronic versions of every U.S. president are revealed. A roll call is started during which each one responds to their name with a nod, wave, or other sign of acknowledgment.
The roll call proceeds through the current president.
After the roll call of all the presidents, George Washington gives a short speech, which is then followed by the current president reciting the oath of office and usually a short speech (there is no Biden speech).
