I want to share an amazing experience from Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
My family always enjoys spotting Divine. An on stage character at Animal Kingdom who embodies nature. She has arms and legs that look like branches or vines. SHe’s very tall (stilts) and blends right into the surrounding plants.
It’s possible to walk right past her and never see her. You might just wonder why a group of people is standing around looking at the trees.
Here’s Divine making an appearance near the Animal Kingdom front entrance.
She really blends in doesn’t she?
The spot that you can see her most often is on the path between Africa and Asia.
At times, in that spot she will spend part of her time on stage actually amongst the other foliage, not in front of it as in these pics.
JUst walk up if you’d like to get a picture with her!
Check your daily entertainment times brochure to see when and where you can find her!
Have you seen or interacted with Divine at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Let us know in the comments section below!

I know the military member must buy a ticket for themself and can buy 5 more tickets. Question is can they purchase say 4 tickets…one for themself, wife, and family member….and then the family member use the 4th one as well? So other family member would be able to use 2 of the tickets while others use just 1? Hope that makes sense.
Hi Kelly,
Yep, makes sense.
A single person can use multiple Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets. The key in this case, since it is not the member or spouse is that the second ticket for that person needs to be activated while the member’s or spouse’s ticket still has days left on it which will be no problem.
If the tickets are purchased at shades of green they are already activated so does that take care of this?
Yes it sure does!
So just to clarify..even if the service member uses all of their days and the other person still hasn’t used their 2nd ticket yet…they can still use them with no problem?
Yes, that’s correct Kelly.
Thank you Steve for the info about Divine. Been going to WDW twice a year for many years and never saw he or she. Can’t wait for May and start looking in AK. Learn something new every time we go.
Also it will be our 1st time staying at SOG. Very upset they are charging annual pass holders parking..
Another way for Disney to make money. We already pay enough fees to stay on Disney property.
So we are looking forward to SOG. My husband is 34 years retired military.
Always look forward to your newsletter. Thank you for keeping us informed and for the work you do.
Hi Janet,
Thank you so much! It’s my pleasure to do this for our community. Thanks for your husband’s and your service!
Be sure to check the Times Guid to see when and where she’ll be!
I hope you enjoy Shades, not a Disney resort, but perfectly nice.
