The Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle

While planning your Disney vacation you keep hearing about Dole whip. It’s so popular in Walt Disney World that it has become as iconic as Mickey Premium Bars.

Aloha Isle in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom is the home of the original Dole Whip in the Magic Kingdom.

While there are limited-time Dole Whip flavors that cycle through the menu, you will always find the original pineapple Dole Whip. This is a true blue pineapple that is sweet, tart, and even vegan! A little too tart for your taste? Get it swirled with vanilla soft-serve for a a creamy, sweet treat.

Limited-Time Flavors

A lot of flavors have come and gone over the years on Aloha Isle’s menu. We have seen lemon, lime, raspberry, and in December 2020, we were introduced to Coconut Dole Whip.

Coconut Dole Whip

This particular flavor is not vegan, but oh my lanta! I bet if it were put up to vote, Coconut Dole Whip would beat the original Pineapple Dole Whip for the best flavor. The fact that Coconut is still on the menu 2 years later says a lot.

Fun Extras

You can get more than just a plain cup of Dole Whip at Aloha Isle.Try one of the special floats next time you visit the Magic Kingdom. Floats change seasonally and are often themed after a movie character. In fact, the Kakamora (murderous little pirates from Moana) float was where we were introduced to coconut Dole Whip.

Since the start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration we have had the Tropical Serenade with Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice, Coconut Soft-serve, and an Upside-down Pineapple Cake Pop. Sweet tooth dreams, right there.

There’s one extra that we were super excited to see come back to the menu: The Pineapple Upside Down Cake! This is a huge piece of pineapple cake topped with a healthy helping of pineapple Dole Whip. This is a sweet snack that will fill you up without emptying your wallet, too! The Pineapple Upside-Down Cake is only $7.49.

Mobile Order

We cannot stress Mobile Order enough for Aloha Isle. There is always a line. It’s hot in Florida and Dole Whip is cold. Naturally people flock there. Plus, everyone flocks try Dole Whip to see what the fuss is all about!

Aloha Isle is available for Mobile Order, and unlike other locations with Mobile Order, you will still have to wait, just not as long as those who don’t use it. Typically, when you place an order with Mobile Order, you can skip the line within minutes of the order, but with Aloha Isle you can click “I’m here” when you’re back by Space Mountain in Tomorrowland, and it still might be 5-10 minutes wait by the time you get there. Now, imagine what it would be like waiting in line!

Disney World PRO-TIP

Are you about to wait in line for Pirates of the Caribbean or Jungle Cruise? Don’t wait empty handed! Most of these rides queues are outdoors so you can eat in line. That wait will go by so much faster with something yummy in your hands.

Editor’s Note: You may not know this, but the Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace switched locations! Prior to March 2015 where the Sunshine Tree is now was Aloha Isle and vice a versa. This was done due to the popularity of Dole Whip and the small size if the location where Aloha Isle was that is now the Sunshine Tree.
