A legendary spot for seasoned fries with serious flavor.
Location
Mr. Kamal’s is a fan-favorite snack stand located along the shaded walkway between Asia and Africa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If you’re heading from Expedition Everest toward Harambe, it’ll be on your left-hand side, not far from the Feathered Friends in Flight amphitheater.
It’s easy to miss if you’re rushing between attractions—but if you know, you know.
Ambiance
The stand itself is modest—just a small walk-up kiosk with a world-traveler vibe. It blends into the lush surroundings and feels more like a tucked-away local favorite than a flashy Disney snack stop.
There’s no formal seating, but to its left, towards the rear, there are a few High-Top tables available off the main path with a great view of the back side of The Tree of Life to enjoy while you have your snack. The area stays relatively quiet, making it a great little break spot in the middle of a busy Animal Kingdom day.
Menu
Let’s be real—most people come to Mr. Kamal’s for one reason: the seasoned fries!
These are not your average theme park fries. They’re thin-cut, well-seasoned, and typically served with a Sriracha Mayo dipping sauce. It’s got a kick, but it’s not super hot.
The menu also features Fried Chicken Dumplings. These are, in Steve’s opinion, just as good as the fries. We always get both and share!
Mobile Order
Mobile Order is not available at Mr. Kamal’s, so all orders must be placed in person at the window.
Because of its small footprint, the line can back up a bit, especially during the lunch rush. We recommend stopping by:
- Before 11:30 a.m.
- After 2:30 p.m.
It’s the perfect between-meals snack window, especially if you’re park-hopping or pacing yourself through the day.
Military Tips
Mr. Kamal’s is one of those little Disney snack stands that fly under the radar, but offers a nice payoff for military families looking for a quick snack. Here’s what to know:
- No military discounts are accepted at this kiosk, and it’s not part of any dining plan or promotion.
- That said, it’s a budget-friendly indulgence, especially if you split the seasoned fries among a few people.
- It’s a great place to grab a bite on your way between Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris, or after watching Feathered Friends in Flight.
- The shaded walkway and Tree of Life view offer a rare quiet moment in an otherwise active park.
- Want something cold to go with your snack? Warung Outpost is just across the walkway diagonally..
Wrap-Up
Mr. Kamal’s might not look like much, but those seasoned fries pack serious flavor, and the dipping sauce takes them to another level. It’s one of those “Disney snacks that’s better than it needs to be”, and worth a detour if you’re in the area.
Have you tried Mr. Kamal’s seasoned fries? What dipping sauce is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
