A colorful drink stand in Pandora serving the fan-favorite Night Blossom beverage and other refreshing snacks.
If you’ve spent any time exploring Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you’ve probably seen a steady stream of guests clutching bright purple and green frozen drinks. Those iconic beverages come from Pongu Pongu, a small but wildly popular drink stand tucked into the heart of Pandora.
Pongu Pongu specializes in visually striking frozen beverages and light snacks that feel perfectly at home in Pandora’s alien landscape. It’s not just about grabbing a drink — it’s part of the immersive experience, especially after riding Avatar Flight of Passage or Na’vi River Journey when a cold, sweet refreshment hits just right.
Location
Pongu Pongu is located inside Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, near the main walkway connecting the land’s major attractions and Windtraders gift shop. It sits between Avatar Flight of Passage, Satu’li Canteen, and Windtraders, making it an easy stop as you move through the land.
A helpful landmark: look for the large powered suit display out front — it’s one of the easiest ways to spot Pongu Pongu quickly as you walk by.
Because Pandora is one of the most heavily trafficked areas of the park, Pongu Pongu often draws a steady line throughout the day — especially in the afternoon and evening hours when guests are looking to cool down.
Ambiance
The stand itself feels like a quirky, repurposed alien beverage outpost, built from salvaged materials and glowing details that fit seamlessly into Pandora’s bioluminescent environment. Bright signage, unusual textures, and playful design elements make it fun to watch even while waiting in line.
At night, the surrounding area comes alive with glowing plants and illuminated walkways, making Pongu Pongu feel especially magical after sunset. It’s a popular nighttime stop for photos, drinks, and soaking in the atmosphere.
Seating is limited in the immediate area, so many guests grab their drinks and continue exploring the land or find nearby ledges and standing areas to enjoy their beverages. There are a few low rock walls to sit on, or you could use the outdoor seating area at Satu’li Canteen.
Menu
Pongu Pongu’s menu is small but highly memorable, anchored by its signature frozen drink.
Typical offerings may include:
- Night Blossom – A layered frozen beverage with apple and desert pear flavors topped with passion fruit boba pearls. It’s non-alcoholic, colorful, and incredibly popular with all ages.
- Rum Blossom – An adult version of the Night Blossom featuring rum.
- Seasonal or rotating specialty drinks – Occasionally offered depending on season and events.
- Pongu Lumpia – A warm pineapple cream cheese spring roll-style pastry (availability can vary).
- Packaged snacks and bottled beverages – Limited options depending on the day.
Menus can change, so checking the My Disney Experience app is always recommended for current offerings.
Mobile Order
Mobile Order is not currently available at Pongu Pongu.
All orders are placed at the walk-up window. Lines can become long during peak hours, especially midday and evening.
Why It’s So Popular
Pongu Pongu has become a fan favorite for several reasons:
- Highly photogenic drinks that pop on social media.
- Unique flavors you won’t find elsewhere in the park.
- Perfect cooldown stop after intense rides like Flight of Passage.
- Strong nighttime atmosphere inside Pandora.
It’s one of those locations that many guests intentionally plan into their touring day.
Wrap-Up
Pongu Pongu is much more than a simple drink stand — it’s part of the Pandora experience itself. Whether you’re grabbing a Night Blossom for the first time or returning for a favorite frozen treat, this vibrant little stand adds flavor, color, and fun to your Animal Kingdom visit.
If you’re exploring Pandora, this is an easy and rewarding stop to build into your plan — especially if you want a memorable drink without committing to a full meal.
