Where to Buy Military Discounted Disneyland Tickets
It is not possible to get a military discount on these tickets directly through Disney at their ticket windows, online or by phone!
The MWR system sells Disneyland Resort Tickets at a slight discount through Base Ticket Offices.
Some ticket offices maintain a good variety of Disneyland tickets in stock, while others only keep a few types on hand. Some Ticket Offices don’t keep any in stock. If you desire tickets that they do not carry, they may be able to order exactly what you want.
Be sure to check on purchasing your tickets at least 2 weeks or more prior to when you want to have them in hand, as it may take a week or so to order them if needed.
Many Base Ticket Offices sell Disneyland tickets long distance.

The Disney Armed Forces Salute offers special military tickets. These tickets are for a specified number of days and come in several varieties. Disneyland Armed Forces Salute Tickets come in 2 lengths, 3-day and 4-day.
Disneyland 2024 Armed Forces Salute Prices:
- 3-day Park Hopper – $269
- 3-day Park Hopper with Genie+ – $359
- 4-day Park Hopper – $315
- 4-day Park Hopper with Genie+ – $435
Up to 6 Disneyland Armed Forces Salute Tickets may be purchased between 2 January and 13 December 2024 per eligible member.
Blockout Dates for Disneyland 2024 Salute Tickets:
- NoneFor families larger than 6, Disney states “Exceptions should be made for immediate families larger than six people.” For example, if a family has five children, Disney will allow all members of the family to purchase Disney Military Promotion Tickets, for Mom, Dad, and the five kids. One ticket during each purchase period must be for the use of the member or spouse, the rest can be used by anyone else (family or friends).
Days on the tickets do not need to be used consecutively. Any days left on the tickets will expire at the end of the offer period.
Tickets purchased at all military resellers (that’s Base Ticket Offices) and not directly from Disney must be activated during the first use in person by the military member or spouse. See Salute Ticket Activation Procedures
Once the tickets are activated the party may split up. For example some go to one park and some to another, or even use the tickets on different days. The Military ID is checked only upon ticket activation.
These tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Disneyland Food Military Discounts
Disneyland does not offer military Discounts on food. However, Military Discounts are available for you at some non-Disney owned locations at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney.
Downtown Disney is the Disneyland Resort’s dining, shopping and entertainment area. There you’ll find great dining options, many merchandise stores (Disney and others), as well as entertainment venues.
Below you’ll find a list of Downtown Disney locations that offer military discounts:

Note: From time to time your may have a server who is not up to speed.
In the past some servers were knowledgeable about the military discount their location offered, but others had to ask their manager. So be sure to ask them to double check if they say they don’t offer one!!!
Also don’t be afraid to ask at locations not on the list! You never know, at one location without a military discount the person gave me his Disney cast member discount and thanked me for my service.
How Does Disney Verify Military ID?
When Military tickets are purchased on base, your Base Ticket Office will verify your eligibility with your military ID. This is for all ticket purchases.
Then for the Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets, Disney requires that you to activate the tickets upon arrival at a Disneyland Resort Guest Relations window. To do this you will show your current/valid military ID.
The Regular Military Discounted Disneyland Tickets do no require an activation process on arrival, so no ID is required.

Can a Military Spouse Activate Disney Salute Tickets?
Yes, absolutely they can. Spouses are allowed to activate the Disney Armed Forces Salute Ticket in place of the member. The member is allowed 6 Salute Tickets during the offer period, the spouse may activate these in place of the member not in addition to. They do not have an allotment of their own Salute tickets.

What are the two types of Disneyland military tickets?

Where can I buy Regular Military Discounted Disneyland tickets?
Only at Base Ticket Offices (MWR/ITT). You cannot obtain the military discount for these from Disney directly (no Disney windows/online/phone).
Do Base Ticket Offices stock every Disneyland ticket?
Not always. Some keep a broad mix; others keep few or none. Most offices can order exactly what you need; allow ~2 or more weeks before you want tickets in hand.
Can some bases sell and ship tickets long-distance?
Yes. Many Base Ticket Offices sell long-distance (your page calls out Camp Pendleton as a phone/FedEx option in a related post).
How are Regular Military Discounted Disneyland tickets structured?
Slightly discounted versions of public tickets, typically 1–5 days, offered as Base (one park per day) or Park Hopper. Some bases sell variants with Lightning Lane Multi Pass bundled.
Are Regular Military Discounted Disneyland tickets date-based?
No. They’re valid any day. Exception: single-day tickets during Christmas time require a higher-priced version.
What about ages and expiration?
Two price bands: Child 3–9 and Adult 10+ (under 3 is free). Tickets expire 13 days after first use. Days do not need to be consecutive.
What are Disneyland Armed Forces Salute tickets like?
3-day or 4-day Park Hopper (with/without Lightning Lane Multi Pass per your examples), highly discounted, limited to six per eligible member during the offer window, and must be used within the specific offer period (days needn’t be consecutive). Your page lists no blockouts for 2024.
Do Salute tickets require activation?
Yes. Salute tickets purchased from military resellers (Base Ticket Offices) must be activated in person at a Disneyland Guest Relations window by the member or spouse on first use. After activation, your party can split up; ID is checked only at activation. Regular Military Discounted Disneyland tickets do NOT require activation and can be used immediately at the gate.
Can a military spouse activate Salute tickets?
Yes. Spouses may activate in place of the member. The six-ticket allotment is shared between member and spouse (not six each).
Are there Disneyland military hotel and food discounts?
Hotel: Armed Forces Salute offers discounted rooms at the Disneyland Resort hotels (limits and sliding “up to” percentages apply; advance reservations required).
Food: Disneyland itself does not discount food, but some Downtown Disney locations historically offer ~10%—always ask and be prepared for a manager to confirm.
How-To: Buy Regular Military Discounted Disneyland Tickets (Step-by-Step)
- Choose ticket type. Pick between Regular Military Discounted (Base or Hopper, sometimes with Lightning Lane Multi Pass bundled) and Armed Forces Salute (3- or 4-day Hopper; highly discounted).
- Contact your Base Ticket Office. Ask what they stock, whether they can order, typical lead time (often 1–2 weeks), and if they support long-distance purchase/shipping.
- Buy early. Start the process at least two weeks before you want tickets in hand so you can link and plan.

Good morning, the Disneyland cast members on the app chat say the Armed Forces Salute tickets for Disneyland can NOT be purchased on site at the ticket windows (as it says in the beginning of the post). Is this a miscommunication or misunderstanding? Are they available on site or only on base????

To my knowledge they have always been available on property. But this could be a new change. AND it could be because you need tickets in hand to make theme park reservations well prior to going… Not much point being able to buy them there if you won’t be able to get into a park.
Camp Pendleton sells long distance and is Awesome! I always buy my DL tickets from them.

Hello there, I am a spouse and was wondering if I would be able to buy tickets on a base with my own military ID? Would I also be able to buy the armed forces tickets, or does my husband need to be the one to get them since he is the active duty member?

Spouses are allowed to both purchase and use the Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets in place of their military member. And If you are interested in the Regular Disney Military Ticket Discount for Walt Disney World and Disneyland which offer less savings but have no rules, you can get these on your own as well.
I just called Disneyland ticketing office and they said they military salute tickets can only be purchased at a base.

Thanks for the feedback.
I was there recently (4 months ago) and they were still selling the Salute tickets just like they have since 2010. It is correct that the Regular Military Discounted Disneyland Tickets can only be purchased on base.
While it is possible they have stopped selling the Salute Tickets there in the last month or so, as same day purchases no longer really make sense due to the required theme park reservations. But, it is way more likely that you talked to someone who has no clue.
When you call “Disney” whether land or world, you are talking to someone in a call center in Tampa or Memphis who never received any formal training on Disney’s military discounts (sadly there is none, confirmed to me by Disney officials and call center cast), isn’t military so doesn’t use these discounts, and may never even have been to the parks.
