Alex Stromski, a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander and Walt Disney World Cast Member passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on 6 August 2022.
Alex retired from the U.S. Navy in 1967 after having served in Korea and Vietnam.
Later in life Alex, a longtime Disney fan, became a cast member at Pinocchio Village Haus, were he worked for the final 13 years of his life. He had several post military careers and had fully retired when he decided to join Disney’s cast.

As a Naval Aviator, Alex had a callsign: “Stop Sign.” While working a PVH, Alex said, “I earned a new callsign: ‘Gepetto.’”

Albert was featured in a Disney Parks Blog post for Armed Forces Day in 2021. After that post he became somewhat of a celebrity and a steady stream of guests began arriving at Pinocchio Village Haus to meet and chat with Alex, shake his hand and thank him for his service.
