You Can Make This Mickey Mouse Hands Magic Band Display
You’ll be the envy of all your disney friends and have a great place to keep your Walt Disney World Magic Bands from your Disney trips.
I’ve seen lots of pics of people putting their Magic Bands on all kinds of things around the house, but this is display is the ultimate Disney Display! Kudos to my wife Tracy for the idea!
It just takes a couple of hours and a few supplies, plus all those magic bands that you’ve collected…
This is a fun and easy project!
To make this cool display this you’ll need:
You can get most of these things through the Amazon links in this post or your local hardware store (Lowes and Home Depot both have military discounts) but the Mickey hands (or feet, read on) will have to come from Amazon or the Disney Store.
Step 1
First spray paint your tube black Or get this black one on Amazon). Preferably do this outside or where you do not care about getting paint on anything else.
I slipped my tube over a broom handle and placed it between 2 boxes while I painted it.
Step 2
Mount your Curtain Tie Backs on the wall. Place them so that they will be about 5 to 6 inches in from each end of your tube. You can keep them level by measuring down from the ceiling the same distance for each one.
Step 3
Once your tube is dry, slip the Mickey gloves on the ends and put your Magic Bands on too.
You’ll just love the final product! A great addition to any Disney themed area in your home.
A fun alternative is to create a vertical display by using just one glove and one of these slippers. Just stand it up in the corner.

I are annual pass holders now, of course. Always were seasonal, and we all have many magic bands too. Just need to find hands and we will be making us one.
Do y’all ever have meet and greet in the parks? We are so happy to have found your site. Very helpful info. it is great not to have to rely on calling Disney or visiting our local ITT office. all the time.
Thanks again for all your hard work.
Hey there Janet,
There is a link in the post to amazon, where you can get them. Just click on the picture or the test “Mickey Gloves.”
I have done meet and greets in the past and will be down there in Late Sept and was planning to have one then. It would be great to say hi then.
Where did you get the beautiful picture ?
Years and years ago at WDW Jamie.
How did you get your magicbands to stay on? they barely make it around the 3″x36″ tube I bought. Thanks!
Hi Michele,
I just looked at mine and it is smaller than 3″. You could try some duct tape on the back.
Thanks, I’ve updated the link in the post to a 2″ tube.
Thank you, Steve. That makes more sense – appreciate the reply.
