Located in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Ohana is one of the most popular restaurants in all of Walt Disney World!
Here, Ohana means family… family-style buffet that is! This restaurant is an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal with a polynesian flair that is sure to excite everyone and leave them stuffed and happy!
There is no ordering at Ohana, instead platters of food just keep coming! The best part is that you can request more of anything at the table. You want 4 more platters of pork dumplings, go ahead and live your best life!
Appetizers
Signature Ohana Bread
The first course is the bread course. This is so tough because you know they give you the bread to fill you up, but it is just so good! The bread at Ohana is sweetened with pineapple and topped with toasted coconut. It is sweeter without it being a sweet bread. It comes with a honey butter that compliments it perfectly.
Mixed Green Salad
This course is nothing exciting, but it is delicious and has one item we were surprised to find in a Disney dish…peppers. Disney strives to accommodate all pallets, so things like peppers and onions are rare on anything, let alone raw in a salad. The vegetables all tasted very fresh, and the citrus vinaigrette was very light. We kept our salad on our table to nibble on between meat dishes later on.
Entrees
Honey Coriander Chicken Wings
These sticky wings were the star of the show! They were seasoned well, and the flavor was not too intense. The meat was so tender that it just fell right off the bones. We reordered these multiple times and boxed up some to take back to our room. (More on boxes later.)
Pork Dumplings
Perhaps the best dumplings that have ever had, so we were not being facetious earlier when we said if you want to order 4 more platters go ahead and live your best life. The wonton was crispy, but not hard, and salty. The port inside was juicy and delicious.
Broccolini
The broccolini brings a great brightness to the platter, but we felt like it was only included because the chef’s mother reminded him that we need to eat our vegetables. Where all the food in Ohana has great seasonings, the broccolini was very basic and plain. It was a good, steamed vegetable, but to be honest, very forgettable.
Ohana’s Famous Noodles
If you’ve heard anything about Ohana, you have heard about the amazing Ohana noodles. These are lo mein noodles with a polynesian seasoning and tossed in a sauce. Full disclosure – We don’t understand the hype. For everyone in our party, the famous noodles were just okay, or a no thank you. The flavor is hard to describe, but they are salty, a little sweet, and tangy all at the same time, while being very saucy.
Wood-Fired Grilled Teriyaki Beef
This was another group favorite! While it used to be served Brazilian-style by being cut tableside, now it is served right up on a platter. The meat is grilled to a well-done temperature, but is filled with flavor. We did find that this paired with the noodles was a good flavor combination.
Grilled Chicken
Who doesn’t love a good char-grilled chicken? The skin was crispy and the meat was tender. The chicken is topped with a chimichurri sauce that brings in some extra flavor and moisture to the chicken. The chicken itself had a great smoked flavor.
Peel-n-Eat Shrimp
Slightly spicy shrimp slipped off the skewer into your cast iron pan. The shrimp are seasoned nicely and a big for those who love shrimp.
Feel Fancy
Soon after your meat courses are served, a Cast Member will bring your table a platter of hot towels and a lemon to wash your hands, which felt very fancy. Note: The restaurant is kept very well air conditioned and some members of our group used to hot towels to warm up. This is your PSA to bring a sweater.
Dessert
Ohana’s Famous Bread Pudding
Forget everything else,,, All you need to know about Ohana is the bread pudding! Remember that pineapple coconut bread? Now imagine that bread soaked in custard and baked… We’ll wait. Don’t forget a bib for the drool, now. It’s going to get better. The famous bread pudding is served with a gigantic scoop of ice cream and a delicious hot caramel sauce to pour on top. This was by far the most amazing item we enjoyed at Ohana, and is truly the exception to the rule “don’t bother with desserts in Disney restaurants, snack around the park instead”. While you can’t ask for more bread pudding, we asked for more ice cream and received a huge bowl of more. More is more at Ohana!
Cocktails
Ohana has a mighty mix of cocktails to make you feel like you are on the island. Everything is fruity and refreshing, including twists on classics like the Moscow Mule. Start your vacation off right with a cocktail served inside an actual pineapple with the Lapu Lapu!

You can book table service reservations up to 60 days in advance, but if they are full even then, don’t fret! You can usually snag a last minute reservation 1-3 days before the day you wish to dine if you’re flexible about times. A kids menu is available as is a plant based dinner option.
PRO TIPS:
- It’s not well known that you can actually take food to go at Disney all-you-care-to-enjoy meals! You are allotted one small box per person to scoop up whatever you want from your leftovers to take home or back to your room. We took boxes of wings, dumplings, and of course, the bread pudding! All were delicious the next day for breakfast. Leftovers: The breakfast of champions.
- Also not well known is that you can order this sumptuous feast via In Room Dining (Disney for Room Service) when staying at the Polynesian Village Resort. You’ll get all the entrees and fixings, the amount of food will be based on the number of people that you order for.
